    Over a large range of bets, you should expect to more or less come out even minus house winnings. In this case, it was a bunch of losses with not nearly enough wins to offset.

        But that's not quite the same thing as losing 50 bets in a row, which would be extremely extremely unlikely unless it was rigged or something.

        It's all in the chance that when you bet high, you'll win. But if you bet high all the time, you can also lose really quickly, so you probably don't want to do that.

        Honestly, sometimes I think there is strategy to this. Other times I think I just imagined strategy. In any case, I came out ahead.
