lol this is kindof funny though because absolutely everyone is vulnerable right now since all of their scores are out there. that would suck if your oponent came back and won because of this. kindof doubtful thats gonna happen to me though because my oponent hasnt been on in like 3 days.

Any time during a tiebreak situation (aka something like ***AAA TIE--PLAY TIEBREAKER*** is next to your name)

I think his idea of deceiving is submitting a garbage score, then submitting your real score right before the end of the round, or stuff like telling your opponent you gave up and won't submit, or anything similar to these. I've never heard of a rule against this stuff, and someone did this against tass, too.

You are free to deceive your opponent through any means that does not involve deceiving me as well (using autofail to try to confuse me into thinking you got 1 good on the whole song when you actually just set autofail to 1 good, for instance).

The only way it's suspicious is if he devoted a lot of energy into playing the song on an eariler day in the round. I mean like 10+ plays.

If he didn't, then it isn't remotely suspicious.

And honestly, what do you want me to do? There isn't anywhere near enough evidence for a DQ even if the above IS the case, so how would one go about getting some kind of evidence of cheating?

Garbage. I tried talking to you over AIM several times for an IP check and was ignored. Even if you really were away from your computer, you never followed up with me. And he did play it every day after getting the AAA on Platypus, maybe missing playing it one day. He played it several times in a row. And his best score was a 700-something-k. I find it highly suspicious that he couldn't achieve anything above 800k throughout the week and magically could get 1.4mil within his first five plays with less than an hour to go in the round. I don't know how you can say that isn't suspicious.

Whatever. As I said before, if the circumstances were different (as in, the score was achieved earlier in the round) I would've dismissed it. But this is far too strange for me to just ignore, especially when my opponent is unseeded. I'm an indexer and I simply cannot get a higher combo on Torinouta without driving myself mad. I'm going to drop my argument now unless you wish to respond to me, but I want to make myself clear that I'm very disappointed and that you think my claims are unfounded. I'm sure that more than just one person would find my situation odd. Why the tournament moderator wouldn't, I don't know. I didn't really expect to get much further than this, but this whole situation makes me mad when I think I have valid cause to argue.

PS. I wasn't the one that came up with the idea of an IP check, either. It was someone else that found this whole thing to be strange too.

What would an IP check accomplish? That only does anything if he's actually a much better player on an alternate account, which I doubt is the case here. Otherwise, it accomplishes nothing, and I'd rather not waste a global mod's time.

Consider also the possibility that he was simply trying to psych you out, making you believe that you were safe with your score when he was in fact capable of far better. I think that's FAR more likely than some kind of cheating, especially since this guy's scores have been consistently good for the division, and I'd actually be quite surprised if he couldn't get the score that he did here, given his scores in previous rounds (unless he's index).
