I tried to read that, really, I did. It was a poorly written, mistake ridden, wall of text. My eyes couldn't handle it.

At least God is an explanation, Tell me how all the matter in the universe came together. Tell me how there was even matter in the universe without someone putting it there.
That is what science is trying to figure out. There are theories, but it's better than, GOD PUT THEM THERE LOL. Besides, if everything has to be finite with you, How did god come to exist?

God is not magic. God is all powerful.
God has thousands of years of proof behind him. Modern science is modern and faulty.
Thousands of years of belief, not proof. Buhdism, Islam and Wicca have as much belief.

Refer to the definition of proof in my earlier post.

yo afrothing you need to realize if you are going to be discussing science you should also realize that if you are in a debate to fight without trying to be a mature open minded person about it then you have no use in debating about it, because in order to be a good scientist you must be a skeptic and you must keep an open mind to every single option of reasoning until it is proven obsolete.

Oh one thing before I'm out:

The other side refusing to say anything due to not being able to talk with someone because they're retarded is not the same thing as the other side conceding.

          No.

Religious debates are retarded and a waste of time.

I ask you to prove something to me about your religion. Anything other than the obvious. That would make for a more interesting read.

God is more proven than science? How?! Answer, please. Elaborate, because even Christians I knew in my youth group who actually studied the Bible had trouble believing in their god.

Re: To debate religion or not, that is the question

If this thread shows anything, it shows that we cannot have religious debates.

The entire point of this thread is validated, and I think it's clear that religion is something that cannot be discussed on these forums because the outcome is always known beforehand and the only thing gained is a lot of time lost.

PS, I fall under the category of people unwilling to change, so whatever. I could by lying for all you know, or you could be. I mean, I could say I've actually talked to the guy you worship and he told me it was funny how many people pray to him, and that's proof to me. Even though it's a lie, I can pass it off as truth.

That's how stupid a religious debate is.

I'm not going to reply either. Early class. Ciao.

hey squeek most people that claim to be christians arent, and just because you go to chruch doesnt mean you are a christian, even the demons believe in God, although people have doubt about everything, not to mention that most humans only rely on God when they need some help or are in trouble, but other than that they dont honestly care about God. If you dont understand what you are reading then you have to try to get some help on that, and sometimes the biggest thing about the bible is that you have to understand all of the things behind the stories and the traditions, because once you know the background of the lifestyle and histories of the bible everything becomes instantly clearer, and more can be taken out of what you read, the bible is not just a storybook there is more hidden behind every word that you are able to understand

Re: To debate religion or not, that is the question

As for the original intention of this thread, it's answered. You can try to debate religion here, but it's not going to work, so don't bother.

I would highly recommend not remaking this topic and not taking any animosity to heart as a result of what was said here. Religious quarrels only lead to arguments and flame wars in the end, so it's best to nip them in the bud.

                    Pro religion argument: You won.
                    Anti-religion argument: You won.

                    Now settle down =)

ps - I know you wanted to reply, and I know it seems harsh that I closed it before you could, but honestly, nothing you can say will sway any of us, and nothing we can say will sway you, so there's literally no point in keeping this going.

Unless you want to see your postcount rise.
