Yeah, about the whole round robin thing, since pretty much no one likes the idea of single elimination, we need a very quick way of doing the medium/hard tourney. We're trying to figure it out, but hopefully it won't disappoint too many people >_>

And the confirmed tourney day is the 8th. Despite of the requests to do it in 2 days, we'll be doing it in one.

Edit:

First off, thanks for the sticky.

Second, I can now confirm that it will be $15 registry and the actual prizes.

Hard/Expert:

1st - $200 + extra pot money
2nd - $100 + extra pot money
3rd - $50 + extra pot money

Medium/Hard:

1st - $60 + extra pot money
2nd - $30 + extra pot money
3rd - $15 + extra pot money

and LOTS of door prizes of course.

I'll update this as I get more info

ANNOUNCEMENT:

to the three people following this thread.

Now that Roxor is sponsoring us AND the organizer is making two appearances on Ontario television (A-Channel and Rogers), the tournament is anticipated to be much bigger, and so it will take place on both the Saturday in question and Sunday as well.

I got off the phone with a Senior Producer of a major televsion network in my area and...

Me and Devman are going to be on their morning show to be interviewed about In The Groove (the Dance game phenemenon, fitness, etc), play a demo game for the audience, and MOST OF ALL promote THIS TOURNAMENT!!!

The Network is called A-Channel Ottawa and our interview will be coming on at 7:55 am on June 27th. Since obviously maybe only a few people from here will actually be able to SEE the brodcast, I'm pretty sure we're going to have it uploaded eventually.

P.S. - I also talked with another local network and they will actually be broadcasting the tournament as well .

Massively Sucesseful. About 30 people showed up, some amazing players, we played all day, did some free go-karting at night and broke 3 go-karts crashing into eachother, TehWack and some other guy were there from FFR and that's it, but amost everyone from last year was back and more, and it'll be worth making plans to make it out next year if you can, it'll just keep getting bigger. Prizes were great too. First second and third place won 132, 66 and 22$ for advanced, plus shirts, posters, towels and stuff.

Holy piss that was messed up, I owned the hell out of Mantis, Rick, and JD on the go carts. Now I have a hell of a lot of bruises from that damn go carting.
For everyone else, what happened is that we know a alot of people who work at the place that was holding the tournament so they lets us go on their go-carts for free and disregard all of the rules. So basically it was an all-out brawl.
