if there wasn't a wink at the end of that sentence, I would be quite scared.

This'll be interesting, though it seems like a list of good steppers and everyone who has been rank 1. The three chosen for the Hall of Fame and the one with the most votes will be whoever stayed #1 the longest.
          I fail to AAA.

you cant compare certain scores from then to scores from now.

for example, the old balloon fever #1 score was like 17 goods or something. now the song has 10+ AAA's, thanks to speed mods.

              Re: FFR Hall of Fame

It should be obvious that previous years cannot be compared to anything recent; I hope everyone sees that. If not, I'll explain a little further.
Basically, what I have in mind is an induction per each year. With this way we'll:

              A) Be able to separate and distinguish each player within each era and compare with people that were within the community during that time. This gives us a sense of comparison against the rest of the players during that era rather than having a subjective sense with comparing older players from the earlier eras to things we see in the present. Remember that some of lose track of what was good, what was bad, etc., and would like to take an in-depth look at things.

              B) With looking into each era a bit more in-depth, we'll be allowed to make notes per player induction next to his/her name, allowing newer players to see the exact reason behind each player's induction and what he/she has done. Of course these notes aren't going to be long, but I'd like to have people have a sense of what is going on and not question our decisions.

              C) With the era-type system, we'd also have the ability to lay out the entire inductions yearly. Rather than compiling an entire list of random things, inducted whenever, we can establish a system of inductions once per year. Every category will fall into these yearly inductions, keeping the system organized and whatnot. We would have done this with previous eras, but going back a digging through mounds of information for each individual year would be hectic, not to mention hard to determine. We'll basically be taking the most noticeable and deserved aspects of each category and listing them. I hope to have this system continue in the future so we can actually keep in mind the memories we have here on the site and also give new users a sense of what this site was like and when.

With this said, I've changed my mind about the deadline of this. I'd rather have the judges take their time with everything, do extensive research for each era they are designated to, and complete it whenever. (This is just the player inductions) Once player inductions are taken care of, we'll compromise a list (From either polls or in a thread) for a list of categories that should be covered in the HOF and continue on from there.

If anyone has anything to add or say about this, please do so.

                Re: FFR Hall of Fame

Pushing back the deadline will most likely be able to help make things more accurate, and fix a few mistakes,if any, but this has gotta start somewhere, then build off that. Overall though, this is most likely going to be pretty succesfull.

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't even attempt to read that. BUT scottish knows what's going down. Last time I checked, he was running this show. Ok, enough of my support for whatever scottish is gonna do with this thing. Any dates we should be looking out for, and sneak previews of potential hall of famers?

ps- would have tried to read it if it was spaced differently. The huge wall of text was a turn off.

                            Re: FFR Hall of Fame

Alright, this is just a few of the ideas I have put together so far, so bear with me.
I would like to establish, besides the actual HOF list, a milestone/timeline "esque", if you will, within the actual HOF itself. This won't be contained within the actual HOF, but will be within the thread.

                            This time line/milestone may include:
                            • A time line of FFR's history- When what was established, such as when the site was actual up and running (bet 95% of you don't know the actual date ), what features were installed when and a full list of songs and release dates, speed mods, playback/recording and multiplayer. Anything that really has affected FFR drastically.
                            • Full list of mods/admins- For recognition purposes. A lot of staff on this site really do not get credit when they really deserve it.
                            • Tournament winners: Obvious. This will date back to the old days'.
                            • FFR Yearly Awards: Winners of the yearly awarded stuff.
                            • Overall Rank Holders: Obvious. Who was number one 4 years ago?
                            • Milestones: Rubix has an average rank of 1?! What..? Tass has an MP level of 50?! No way...
                            • Legendary Threads: Links, no need to repeat.
                            • Helpful users: Some people do a lot more around here than what you think they do..
Just a few things off the top of my head. All I know is FFR would not be where it's at without what has happened in the past; everything has some relevance to who and how we are now. The things and people who have stood out and made a name for themselves around here should deserve the recognition of being among a written, yet shortened, version of our history around. Sure, we could all go snoopin' around 300 pages back in a forum to figure these things out, but I don't care honestly. Having a full list of what has happened and who has done what around here, giving them or it credit, is what really matters in my opinion.

I would like you guys to throw some ideas out there for things you feel that should be recognized in this HOF thread. (Note: This isn't the actual thread, there will obviously be a clean thread for the actual list and whatnot) I'll make a thread in the next few days that will be asking that question. We'll let it meander off until everything is taken care of.

Anyway, in this thread, in the mean time, please feel free to suggest whatever you like. Comment on whatever, just add feedback/ideas. Really, anything would be helpful.

EDIT: As you can see, I write a lot
