![]() This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while.
http://games.adultswim.com/soundodge...line-game.html There's an upcoming deluxe version for Mac/Windows. Any thoughts? The music, by the way, is absolutely beautiful (or at least the two songs I've heard so far). |

![]() Looks like a touhou bullet hell with some music in the background (I didn't see much connection between the music and the "patterns" if you know what I mean. Seems neat though

![]() this is one a rhythm game where you are not required to be in-sync with the music - but rather you act as an individual in an environment that is controlled by the music
which is why most might feel that the game isn't as intuitive as stepmania, and that's understandable ! |

![]() Honestly speaking, it makes the chart/patterns more variable and abstract in that sense that you can do almost any pattern and no one can say you're wrong. Love it.

![]() Wouldn't really call this a rythm game just like I wouldn't call audiosurf a rythm game for the most part as actually being accurate isn't a part of the game.
Its cool though. Really digging the music. |

![]() Some songs are lackluster but some songs have absolutely amazing maps.
Katapult is probably my favorite. Shame that there's only like 6 songs though. I'll probably buy a deluxe version if it offers a bit more songs and has the ability to play custom maps. Last edited by Wafles; 11-4-2013 at 05:02 PM.. |

Its available on steam and its well worth it IMO, the built in editor for making your own maps is pretty simple and fun to mess around in. And some of the extra songs are really really cool.

![]() It isn't really a rhythm game, as it's more of a music game (a game that's heavily influenced by music, but does not require the player to gain some sort of rhythm to do well).
Still, it's a unique take to this game. It's kinda reminds me of Beat Hazard but focuses solely on dodging bullets instead of taking out ships.

![]() As a danmaku enthusiast, this game is absolutely fucking incredible. I whole-heartedly agree with Carlos by the way: this game will be always be superior to following the music in comparison to SM, haha.

![]() This game... I'm ashamed I ignored it. Now that I'm playing it, holy shit.
I thought this was going to be some shitty "oh, the bullets are produced by any music with it's waves" shit. It's not like that at all. Fucking amazing. |
