FFR Spelling Bee

The spelling bee of the century! Anyways, this is the great FFR Spelling Bee. Okay, here's how the spelling bee works.

- I will give a hint on the actual word to be spelled.
- I will give up to three hints.
- Players must guess the word, then spell it. CORRECTLY. Spelling it wrong will end the current word, and noone will get the points. However, the game WILL continue if the guess does not match the word I am thinking of.
- All points are given to those who posted FIRST, right after the first, second, or third hint is given.
- Players recieve 10 points for guessing, and spelling the word, on the first hint. 5 points for the second, and 1 point after the third.
- After the first hint is given, players may request for a hint by saying Hint.
- All players shall follow all general forum rules.
- The game will last for 50 words.

Anyways, those are the rules. The winner of this game will recieve the coveted "FFR Spelling Person" award. Now, begin, while I construct the scoreboard.

That's not how to do good at this game, the real way is to guess right away after each clue, since only the first guesser gets anything, and no one else would be able to get anything, so using another site to check your spelling wouldn't help much.

True, but the traffic of this game isn't gonna last long (in fact, it seems it already died), thus giving the first guesser (almost) unlimited time. There's just no way this game will be successful. =/

It's structured wrong. I believe that you should have a list of clues for about 20 different words, and have the people PM you with the correct spellings for the words. Have a set limit of people that move on to the next round. Each round ends after a day? Good?

Good, except that then people would really have lots of time to make sure they had the words spelled correctly.

Then make the hints a lot harder, and have only the first round be one day long, to get the people who are actually going to play. All successive rounds will be 30-15-10-5 (et cetera) minutes long as the rounds move on and the times will be announced in their respective threads.

[EDIT] If it had to be done it would be done like that, but in general a spelling bee on the computer is way too easy :/
