Re: The Revolution (Wii) is Here.

Yes, I heard bad things about Red Steel. In MAY.

The E3 version of the game was not the final version of the game. They spent their time tweaking the game and making the control scheme work out better.

Well, I don't know of anything that seems any better. If they don't have Red Steel (it's not on their website) I'd probably get Excite Truck. They had that in the store, so I know they have that one.

I'd prefer just to get two, but if I can get money back for games I'd get anyway, why not?

      Hey guys.

Playing bad games can be really fun too.

      ex: Pokemon Snap.

      I rest my case.

        Hey Squeek:

        Rayman
        Trauma Center
        Monkey Ball
        Metal Slug

What's bad about those? Those were editor picks (along with Red Steel) in Nintendo Power, and I plan on having all four (along with Wii Sports, of course, and Toejam & Earl) by the end of the year. I'm not going to chance Red Steel until it sees some play, because I've heard a lot of good, but a lot of bad, too.

Re: The Revolution (Wii) is Here.

Trauma Center just doesn't sound fun to me. Sorry.

Rayman? I can't see that as being fun.

Monkey Ball I already said I wanted.

Metal Slug Anthology... I've never played Metal Slug, so I don't see what the draw is to this game.

Basically, I'll decide when I'm there.

Im planning on getting Twilight princess with the Wii, but (and yes this may be well behind the times), is SSBB being released with the Wii? If not when is the release date for Brawl?

Brawl is set for early 2007.

Anyway, one thing I just thought about, if everyone waits to see what Red Steel will be like, how will we find out? Someone's gotta take the initiative.

              I'm sure it'll be great.

I'm excited to try this at my friend's house Sunday. As a condition, he's making me write a first impression article for his blog, so I'll probably repost it here. I'm not getting one for myself until Christmas, but damn am I excited.

                    Why?

Because I'd rather play the game the way it was intended and not for the Wii which they probably slapped together so people will understand how TP fits with the Wii's motion sensing.
lol..... >___> I'd say go read an actual review or impression, but for some reason, I'm enjoying this ignorance.

If you've played the DS version, you know why Trauma Center is so much fun. You have to try it.

I never thought Rayman would be fun. Rayman has never drawn me in at all. But, this game is getting so much good review from everywhere that I can't possibly pass it up. I don't know why you can say a game being hyped by so many reviewers as a "must-have" as being not fun.

Monkey Ball... well, no reason to discuss that.

I never thought much of Metal Slug until I got bored at a pool hall and played Metal Slug 4. Now, I can't get enough of Metal Slug. It's one of those things you don't really care about unless you give it a chance.

Oh, and for all of you that don't believe me that Wii games are being sold before the system comes out:

Just picked it up yesterday, though it was ready on Wednesday. Twilight Princess is being sold in some places too, and I'm sure some other games are as well.

Re: The Revolution (Wii) is Here.

Rayman isn't your typical Rayman. o_O IGN's review of RRR: http://wii.ign.com/articles/746/746378p1.html

                        1up's review of LoZ: TTP.

Also for Chromer from the guy's blog:
"Just be sure to play the Wii version. Seriously, the Wiimote is perfect for Zelda. And widesceen is how Hyrule was meant to be seen. "

Another big reason to get the Wii version is for the widescreen.

Trauma Center is one of those games you need to give a chance; it's great and the Wii version is seemingly great as well.

Rayman is supposively pretty good, better than Super Monkey Ball which Sega somehow managed to **** up yet again.

Wait, how can you not see the draw to Metal Slug? It's legendary. Unfortunately since most of the series was released on the Neo-Geo, noone got to play it. In fact, MSA and LoZ:TP are the two games that anyone and everyone who's getting a Wii on launch day must get.

Since the reviews for Excite Truck are pretty mixed (some places are giving it a 6, others an 8), it's probably one of those "fun but not that great" games like Afro was saying.

OH MY GOD IT'S SO FUN!

We bowled for 3 hours straight. The motion sensing is AMAZING. I'm not let down in the least. I played Wii Bowling (great to play with lots of people), Wii Tennis (also very cool), Wii Golf (not as impressive... but I'm not a golf person), and Excite Truck (AHHH FUNNNNN). I was playing at a GameCrazy that my friend hangs out at a lot. It's good to have a lot of space, but even when there were lots of people standing around watching, it's still pretty easy to play. The Wii is tiny. The remote fits my hand almost perfectly.

Oh man, I don't wanna wait 'til Christmas to get it!
