I'm a girl, and I play ddr too.....and I'm 24. Older then most of the players I know. I even drive 4 hours to get to the closest ddr arcade. :P Spoken like a true gamer.

But I gotta say though...the people that I hang out with don't use the bar for support when we play. Otherwize its looked upon as if your cheating. I can't even play holding onto that thing. I should start a thread about that.

I also play in tournaments when I can. Hard when there's no arcades in the upper midwest.

It seems like it's mostly boys who DDR, but lately I've been noticing more and more girls lining up for the DDREX machine at the mall. Before, it was 2 or 3 girls wanting to play on BEGINNER. But now it's different, more like 5-6 girls playing Standard and even HEAVY. Guess the boys have some more challenges now But unfortunately, what annoys me most, is how boys STEREOTYPE girls who play DDR, either by calling them tomboys, wannabes, or 'idiotic bitch having a seizure' (yes i have in fact been called that lmao* Anyone ever notice this? and a side question, are there any girls around here who DDR?

I have been DDR'ing for about 3-5 months now (I lost count. :-\ Let's just say long enough to get into heavy, but still well below one year), but teh thing is, there's mostly girls who DDR that I've seen--I know very few boys that do it. However, guys do it more in public--which is strange to me. I know very few girls who go to the arcade to do it--and this is Las Vegas!

lolol girls can play ddr! and itg. girls are good at ddr really believe me. u'd be surpised. my sister held the score for speed over beethoven when i first started ddr on light she kept the score for WEEKS! i couldnt beat it -_- but now i can! but still. yea girls are good at ddr.
o yea the reason for guys/girls wanting to play in public is because its fun to watch people that are really good at ddr to do ddr me and my friend are supose to go and ddr in this bowling alliey we know or maybe a mall soon. u know just to have fun

my girl plays ddr. adn hes pretty good
his most recient achivement is AA max 300, whit a score of 923-and-numbers
and i like seen girls playing ddr
(not when my girl is close cuse she gets yelous xd)
