You should be able to, try exitting and reentering if it happens again, but it really shouldn't. If you get an Agent Error, and only one person has 999 ping, then you're just fine, and that's normal. It's likely coming from his end, then, or there's a disturbance in the connection between you two, but it really doesn't happen that often.

If EVERYONE has 999 ping to you(which they shouldn't, but it's POSSIBLE), then just change your settings. Turn whispers on or off, seriously, mess with the settings. I'm not talking exclusively about graphics settings.

EB, the entire thing is supposedly personerson, as Carbo says, but I believe the server does mess with the lag a bit.

      Re: GunZ: The Duel

Well if it's person to person (rofl :P became a smiley for you XD) then distance still matters, it's just the distance between you and the person. If the server affects any part of the gameplay itself, then it's important in lag.

Btw, person to person style games suck because dual kills (I kill you, you kill me) because of lag are wayyyyyy common. When it's all handled by a central server, that sort of thing is rare (and is only in games that take bullet velocity into account, like BF2).

...well, unless the game has rockets and such, in which case dual kills are bound to be REALLY COMMON.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

It does. And I use it against people who like to butterfly alot, and it sure pisses them off.

Dual kills wouldn't exactly happen THAT much.

I'd say for every 100 kills, yeah, I may get killed by the enemy I killed on the same second I killed him.

The way this game works is different than in BF2. In BF2, if you hit on your screen, then your opponent takes damage. In this game, you have to hit on your opponent's screen. You have to lead a little, but not to the point that it becomes unplayable, and this is coming from a deathmatch player. I can lead on 300, 400, 500 pings now, with 500 taking a bit of prediction towards where they'll go. I mean, they all take prediction at that high of a ping, but it's really easy to tell where people are going to go in this game. Most of the people that you need to lead more than a very small bit are kicked, anyway. In deathmatch, it really doesn't matter, because you'll get used to it so quickly that you won't be able to tell. When I say quickly, I mean it may take 30 kills, but you're playing a 100 kill game, so you'll get the hang of it.

Kills in deathmatch in this game go by fairly quickly. I get an average of about 5 kills per minute, and I'd say the average North American player gets around 3-4. The average South American player gets about 1 at the max. I'm racist because of this game, deal with it, lmao.

Most places in this game, with an exception of Town, are fairly narrow, and everywhere except the center in Town is narrow. Garden has a fairly large opening up top, but it's REALLY narrow down below.

This isn't really comparable to an FPS considering we have Kstyle, and that means people literally move around like a bunch of weird pieces of crap.

Easiest way to describe Kstyle is, well... Ever gotten a plastic bottle that was 1/3 full and thrown it? Notice how it flails around aimlessly and seems off-balance? That's Kstyle.

I levelled to 59. One more! I wanted to get to 60 before NA GunZ came out.
          ---
NA GunZ will be run by Ijji, they run a version of Gunbound. It will be a full version of the International Edition with the servers located in North America.

Hey, MAN, my friend is level 75.

In reality, we were just kinda messing around. I figured out you could turn DBF into loads of fun steps that I haven't seen others do yet. Then again, I'm sure many people already have done this.

Berserkers kinda sucked today. In fact, I don't really think I found one real good one. Maybe one, but that's it.

                  Actually, was a half-decent game.

                      That means it's torrenting.

It's just doing it very slowly.

                            Here:

SHOULD be the new version if I'm not mistaken.

                            If not:

"Open the GunZ Client. Take the torrent file out of C:\Program Files\MAIET\GunZ, and assuming you have uTorrent already on your computer and you know enough about it, take the .torrent file and run it through uTorrent. Just make sure you make the path for the torrent your GunZ folder. If the torrent starts at 0% then you know you did something wrong."
