Man I was semi dissapointed when it got to the Synth Solo. That left room for some pretty hard steps and it could have at least bumped up the difficulty a bit without it seaming overdone.

If you want a hard song, wait till next week's, it's hard.

If next week's isn't hard enough for you, you can wait till the week after, which is going to be one of the hardest songs in the whole game.

The point wasn't to make this song hard.

I think it's great that we have some intermediate songs in every once in awhile, it gives some of the newer players a chance to enjoy a song.

Steps were boring and too 8th-oriented. Also, lose the blue arrow syndrome. The song wasn't very exciting and didn't go anywhere. A shorter cut should have been used.

I will be talking with MSI's management as soon as I can (hopefully tonight) to try and get permission for another song.

But yes... this is the only MSI song we have permission for currently.

i felt like every note i was hitting was offsync. the problem was is it felt like it was too late on some and too early on others. i have no idea how i blackflagged it, i could have sworn that i had to have gotten like 10 goods

Ok.

Comments:

#1: Karaoke steps. I guess they're ok though because not much else you could do and still make the steps relatively easy.

#2: Most of the jumps, despite being at good spots, are, in my opinion, at odds with the difficulty level. I remember being able to only do 8th runs and I also remember 8th jump runs BEING ****ING HELL. I would have liked to have seen more 16ths with that amount/difficulty-level-of jump runs.

#3: Was a bit long... had a few spots where it felt like it should have ended. I suppose you guys couldn't make a length edit on it though (I can understand a musician not wanting their music cut for a game they originally didn't even know about).

That all said, I'd say it's pretty good. Not that great for the aimed difficulty level, I'd say, but still good nonetheless.

Afro... multiple of the steppers wanted to cut the song. I explicitly stated that it couldn't be cut.

So, yea. It is a bit long. It is a bit repetitive.

Also, none of the versions with 16th runs has any less jumps (or marginally fewer). The only run with fewer 8th jumps was the only one of the versions that was easier than Psycho's... and Shash and I didn't feel it flowed nearly as well.

And yea... now that we have one MSI song, I'm going to be slightly picky in terms of getting another. Any suggestions? I was thinking things like Bitches (if Synth ok's the lyrics) or IHJP.

i think IHJP would make a harder one then bitches if thats what your looking for. The actuall song is better imo, but there are already IHJP's for sm and i've never seen a bitches file before. So IHJP for goodness or Bitches for originality.

It should be something that doesn't have a well-known file for it. I'd say the best candidate would be Last Time I Tried to Rock Your World. I've been thinking of stepping that. Bitches isn't really FFR file material, anyway.

edit: HammyMcSquirrel, the song's title is ******, not Ultrasex. Some dumbass on BMS made that name up. I already stepped it, anyway.

If it's going to be a difficult one, you should try to get "London Bridge". It has a lot of room for difficulty. Plus it's just an awesome song.
