Pretty much the most awesome song ever. The solo is incredible too. Not uber fast shredding or whatever but the melody is so good.

Kirk solo's are cool, but once you get one or two they are all easy.

Yngwie. Damn don't get my started. He needs to find some new modes. E Phrygian is getting old.

No DragonForce sucks. Power metal sucks. Technical metal sucks. They have no interest in music and only have one towards making a cool sounding song. I would rather listen to Dark side of the Moon just because they put emotion into it. DragonForce is also very sloppy.

Yet, Alex Lahio is in your avatar. You fail.

You see, emotions aren't just being "sad" or "happy". It's how you deeply feel, your mood, thoughts, actions. If you start composing something, but you feel it sounds not like your mood or your thoughs, you will scarp that melody and start again. Bands like Dream Theater or Opeth (which I'm not a fan, by the way) aim for something fast and impressive, because they can. Same for let's say Beethoven. Ever heard Moonlight Sonata's 3rd movement? It's crazy fast, yet full of emotion. Same goes for tech. metal.

Well, about him. I don't enjoy any of his newer stuff. I prefer the older albums. They sorta sold out after Hatebreeder.

Dream Theater is just insane. I mean. They did a ****ing concept art album.

Opeth. I like one song. Blackwater Park.

I think that Eddie Van Halen and Joe Satriani were both amazing guitar soloists

If you actually play guitar youll see why.

Not bad, but it still doesn't compare to almost every Dragonforce solo.

Best solo ever IMO is Fury of the Storm by Dragonforce.

If I was forced to learn one acoustic guitar solo before I died, it would have to be in the song

Oh wow! Like a concept album makes them so ****ing cool. Metro part.II is indeed awesome but liking them purely because they did a concept album is retarded. Hell in that case go check out Pain of Salvation, I don't think they've done a non-concept album.

Opeth. I like one song. Blackwater Park.
Typical. They have far better stuff.

                        You fail at quote.

                        Opeth:
BWP is just the best. Ghost Reveries completely blew. Damnation was Ok. I haven't heard anything else or I don't know what CD's they are from. From my experiences, BWP is the best.

                        Dream Theater:
They're ****ing gods. I might just change my Av to JP.

Each to their own but I'd say Deliverance is their best album, Still Life second, and BlackWater Park 3rd. Ghost Reveries didn't blow, it just was a different direction, and after Damnation what did you expect?

They were the pioneers of Progressive Metal yes and they are one of the best, but unfortunately I'd say they have been passed by better Prog-Metal bands, Octavarium was not what they are capable of. They still haven't surpassed "Awake" and they haven't surpassed a song since "A Change Of Seasons".

I don't believe I've heard anything from Deliverance. I'll have to check that out.

Dream Theater. I didn't like the majority of 8VM. I liked The Root of All Evil, Sacraficed Sons, Panic Attack, and Never Enough. My favorite albums are The Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence or ToT. I dislike their first album because he had horrible tone because he was still using Randall and some other minority amplifier. I love Images and Words but it wasn't as impressing as 6Degrees and ToT. I like how he shreds things up. I could never write some of the stuff he knows. He never got a major in music either. All of them dropped out of Berkley and started writing music while Majesty was still alive. I don't like the older albums keyboardists either. Jordan Rudess just made things better. Derek Sherinnian or whatever his name is was good but he didn't create the same mood JR does. I just flat out didn't like what Kevin Moore did.

All of 8VM sucks except the lead keyboard solo at 12:15 in Octavarium.

                              It's a fact.

Also Change of Seasons is by far their best song.
