Funny because Nintendo reps are telling most gaming sites that the graphics are that of a jacked-up Xbox and that no game ever utilized the full potential of the Gamecube graphics in the first place.

Graphics get better as a system is developed for more and more. Compare Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario Bros. 3. Compare Super Mario 64 to Donkey Kong 64. You'll see what I mean.

          One.

          $600. I have to remind you. $600. $600. $600. $600.

There aren't any other games in the works that seem remotely interesting as of yet.

Where do you live? It's been confirmed to be on GC and Wii in the US, they haven't announced plans for other regions. (Although, I should add that on stuff like this Nintendo has been known to go back on their word...so wait a few more days).

Did they say that the reason GC and Wii version of Twilight Princes was because of Wii's lack of power compared to the GC? I'd love to see the quote...but I won't, because it doesn't exist. TP was originally developed for the GC, then they adapted it to Wii. They're putting their development time on perfecting the control, and perfecting the game, not on polishing textures, which I applaud. The Wii is capable of better graphics than GC.

So MGS 4 is worth 600 dollars to you, that's fine, and you're certainly not alone. The PS3 will be a good machine. But unless you have some of the strangest taste in gaming known to man you can't deny a new Zelda, Metroid, and Mario game all within 6 months of Wii's launch isn't worth the ~ 200 dollar console.

And do you have a girlfriend? She'd love it. Get her monkey ball. Anyways, I'm sick of all this fanboy ****. Yeah, MGS4 will be great, so will lair, and heavenly sword, and many others...But to say that you can find all these games to justify a 600 dollar purchase, and can't find any to justify a 200 dollar purchase just screams fanboy.

            EDIT: Or graphics whore.

Who cares about graphics? Honestly, why squabble over something like that.

I mean, its not like the graphics will take a jump back to that of N64 or anything, but really, would it even matter if it did? Wouldn't bother me... N64 has great graphics, and if you don't think so, I'd say that you're just picky.

I'm just not that all interested in Nintendo's game, except for the new Zelda as I said before, which will also come out on gamecube. I prefer RPGs on the PS's rather than any particular console, but hey, that's just my preference.

Well, I am in the US. Good thinking. Anyways, gotta answer this post in a good way...

                  1) I would verily doubt that the Wii will have less power than the GameCube. And yes, I figured that would mainly be the main thing that Nintendo would do.
                  2) Apparrently, he does think $600 is worth a game. He's one of the more "smarter" buyers.
                  3) The PS3 will have some tough luck at the start with it's price, but a price drop may help its publicity. But that doesn't mean it will be a good system. But anyways, I just want to say that all 3 new current-gen systems have a chance of making it.

Just the PS3 has a lower chance since they stoled from Nintendo. Mean bitches; Sony deserves to be shot.

Then go find a more suitable thread for you opinions. As far as I can tell this thread is for people who are looking forward to and want to talk about the Wii. Fair enough if someone wants to come in and question the Wii in general and in doing so finding out more information about the console, that cool. However this isn't a PS3 vs Wii thread. Stop being a fanboy and go somewhere else to suck PS3 penis.

Ps. This thread had 20 pages. The PS3 one has 8. Not saying that's decides anything, just thought it had relevance though.

I'm so excited for the Wii. I think I'm gonna stop spending money now, so I'll have enough by the time it comes out to get the console, a few controllers (or whatever periferals I'll need) Mario (if released), Zelda, WarioWare, and SSBB (when released.)

I an patiently awaiting the arrival of Mario Galaxies (I believe that's the name of the game). It's gonna be awsome... and I mis-spelt that word as a good thing.
