I'm having difficulties installing this it turns out, but if I uninstall it again it works w/o ridiculous at least.
I'll try a full SM reinstall I suppose.

Love the new graphics, but after installation it removed my extra CMods.

And turned the menu timer back on.

And turned off event mode.

help, when I install it it puts a bunch of files on my desktop and says its installed, yet RT is not installed at all

I installed it -and it works great !. Just a question though - after i play a song, marvelous overlaps Rediculous (like.. rediculous is behind it, and not above it as it should be) - any info on how too fix this would be really appreciated =)

Cookie, I'm not ****in with Ridics anymore. Last time it ****ed my .exe so bad it kept crashing. So I had to unistall SM not once, but twice b/c Ridics had SOMEHOW crept over into my .ini and had raped it like a hentai schoolgirl. Case in point? Ridics are ridiculous.

Well if you would have bothered clicking the link it says right there you can download a rar containing stepmania + xmods/cmod + ridiculous timing, meaning you don't have to do anything to your old stepmania.

Ya, the .exe needs to rebuild the Stepmania.ini file from scratch to work properly, so this is why your options reset.

It is basically a new install of Stepmania as far as the options are concerned... your customized stuff is still around in the backup folder though.

No. Since Ridiculous Timing requires replacing the executable, it has to be built from one source or another.

It was compiled from the 3.9 source, so installing Ridiculous Timing into Stepmania 4.0 would be equivalent to taking the Stepmania 3.9 executable and metrics.ini files and blasting them directly into your Stepmania 4.0 directory.

This sounds like your Stepmania is not a true installation, but just a copied Stepmania directory. If the installer has no idea where your Stepmania folder is (because there is no registry key from a proper install) the files would not be moved to the proper location.
