the optimal strategy is obviously to make sure you're the last person to bump
but if everyone follows the optimal strategy then nobody can win
the game is flawed because the optimal strategy precludes the declaration of a winner
edit: now, of course, the next thing to consider is what the last person wins, in theory
if it's something that can be split between a group, the next obvious thing to do is to agree on one person to be the last person, and once they win, split the winnings
this is a better outcome for everybody than nobody winning
