Re: Synth, come rescue me! (Or, why American Airlines sucks like hell.)
Update: I checked my e-mail before passing out last night. There are 17 different e-mails from expedia.com telling me that my itinerary has changed. NO **** SHERLOCK. I thought I crossed that box off years ago--I don't usually have a way to check e-mail on the road (I am not usually ON THE ROAD long enough to warrant it anyway) and I ALREADY KNOW. Besides, they're all timestamped way too late to have helped me even if I could have read them, i.e. the one telling me my flight to Philly was cancelled (it was a 4:20pm flight out of Chicago) and I had been switched onto a 9pm flight is timestamped right around 9pm EST last night--so, 8pm Chicago time. Like that helps; I was already passed out and even if I wasn't, I'd missed boarding and luggage check-in. AGAIN.

I am sorry you had to visit rolling meadows.. See many meadows? Realize that if this would have happened exactly a month ago, you could have been part of the FFR admin meetup! Imagine the excitement! Imagine the fun you would have with us exciting guys! /sarcasm.

Woah, thats serioudly like 5 minutes from my house.
In other news, that really sucks. Weather here was terrible so I can understand why the flights would be delayed/cancelled and such, but that still sucks.
Re: Synth, come rescue me! (Or, why American Airlines sucks like hell.)
UGH. I am never ever ever flying again, I tell you. Everyone can come visit me. I've explained this to them in great detail, and so far it looks like at least my grandparents agree
The Holiday Inn shower did not work this morning at 4 am, and there is no maintenance man on site until 8. So I had to switch rooms for 15 minutes to shower and then shove my way onto a way-too-full shuttle back to the airport, where, WONDER OF WONDERS, my flight was on time and now I am home and NEVER LEAVING AGAIN.
Re: Synth, come rescue me! (Or, why American Airlines sucks like hell.)
I've flown hundreds of times and I've never had a problem besides having a flight delayed for an hour or so. This kind of stuff rarely, if ever happens, so don't let it keep you from ever flying again

Haha, when I was flying back from Seattle by myself I completly missed my connecting flight in the Newark, NJ airport.
Fun time that was. That airport sucks my d.

Just because you can do it doesn't mean I can. I have responsibilities (and a daddy who won't pay another $500 for me to go back and forth when I can pay $50 for a hotel and get home the next day).
That said, I really wish I'd gone home when I missed my first flight. My back and my ass still hurt from the horrible chairs in the International Lounge and the airplane seats are not much better, as everyone knows.
