      Why would you have to?

You're asking for the impossible. Expanding upon an original creation will make people hate it. Just giving the people the game will be sufficient. I'm certain they will do it too.

You pack 300 games of that depth (but of varying gameplay) in one package and call it Wario Ware: Smooth Moves.

It's already out. Came out in the U.S. two Sundays ago. It does everything that the original DS does; it just looks and plays a bit differently because of its new design. There is some evidence that the firmware in the Lite as opposed to the original design is a bit different, and the games you play know it....

err, i worded it totally wrong. what i meant was will there be some type of compatibility with the DS and Wii to get some extra features out of the Wii?

Is a DS worth picking up if i'm already planning on getting a Wii?

Yes, it's confirmed that they will be compatible, and will be capable of interacting...No specifics have been announced beyond that they are capable to...So really we don't know if it'll be used, either.

But the DS Lite is worth picking up regardless of whether you're getting a Wii.

Re: The Revolution (Wii) is Here.

I have been "nintendo-ing" ever since The Nintendo came out. I am hooked on the Metroid Prime series. And I am peeing on myself because i am so excited that Metroid Prime 3 will exist. However I am a little saddened that this will be the last of the metroid prime series. I am also sad that nintendo is going to intentionally make this version "easier" (they said that) than the previous two, because of the complex control. They didn't need to do that. I could learn the hard way. But it's going to be so cool to throw your hand out there to use the grapple beam because of the motion sensor control.

I also can't wait until super smash brothers brawl! WARIO WILL BE A PLAYABLE CHARACTER!!! And hopefully a new Mario/Nintendo DDR game; with not just Mario songs but Zelda and Metroid Prime and Star Fox and Pokemon and etc. OMFG! OMFG! I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT!
I haven't been this excited since the release of HP & the HBP!

Well, I gotta go change my pants.

Find in-depth gaming news and hands-on reviews of the latest video games, video consoles, and accessories.

                        Summary:

President of Nintendo thinks that pricing games high, then letting them drop in price as they age is a stupid idea and retailers hate to do it.

Each software should have its own price point depending on its volume, theme, contents or energies and ... development costs
Basically it means that new games that we all know will sell really well and that every store will order cases of will probably sell for $40-$50. Games that are from a third party developer or just games that don't have a lot of press need more reason for people to buy them, and what better reason than a low price?

Honestly, this works. One of the main reasons I was so set on getting Super Monkey Ball solely on a single friend's recommendation of the game was because it retailed for $30 when it came out. The sequel was $30. Other awesome games have been like this as well. Katamari Damacy was a prime example. Even after the first one became hugely successful, the creator still allowed the sequel to be priced evenly with the first.

Dunno. Kotaku is a pretty reliable source. Though the execs just said "Quarter 4 2006". September is in Quarter 4. Barely.

Late October, early November. Too many rumors/sources to post. Just take my word for it. It will be announced shortly, so I wouldn't worry too much about speculating.

EDIT: Sorry, they're announcing the release date (and presumably price) in september officially, so I really wouldn't expect anything in september, or early october. Again, late october, early november.
