Paintball too expensive..? lol get a job. Oh yeah they sell rubber balls so you don't have to pay too much on paint. If you're stingy with the cash. Anyways i don't have much to say on Airsoft ( nothing against it), but paintball, especially speedball, is a widely popular sport. Played in both U.S. and Europe. Actually on ESPN. i haven't heard much of Airsoft at all. Buuut on the other hand, Airsoft guns look better and realistic aside from the orange tip on the muzzle.

i just like the realisticness of an actual war/battle that you can get with airsofting, me and my friends play out in the woods alot, and well have snipers sitting in trees and everything, paintball, on the otherhand, never seems realistic, especially speedball, your not going to find an inflated triangle in the middle of Iraq now are you? yes paintballing is fun, and ive gone many times, and even competed in a tourny or two, but i made the switch to airsofting just for the sheer tactical advantages it has over anything else, and i just find it much more fun, and yes less expensive, and yes i do have a job so dont give me crap about being cheap lol.

If you're looking for REAL Realism just join the Military. Actual wars involves Pain and Blood. you haven't touched the subject on Woodsball. That good be as real as you want it.

No airsoft gun I've ever seen has an orange muzzle. You must be thinking of MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System).

Either that or one those cheap £20 BB guns from some dodgy gadget store. Not a proper £200-300 gas powered Airsoft rifle.

excuse me? its required BY LAW that you have the orange tip mounted on EVERY airsoft gun put onto the market with the EXCEPTION of display models and display models only

then again, by the look of your currnecy symbol, you live in the UK, so your laws might be different, but in the US, its law

you can't always tell, especially from distance, it stings a bit on bare skin from medium/close range

HAH. No it f*ucking hurts. Close range you'll be fishing them out of your skin. You play with hop ups or somthing.

Where I used to play it wasn't like teams shoot at each other for an hour and then argue who got hit. We had reps watching the game from the rooftops and such assessing peoples performence. When you got shot you had to put your hands on your head and return to base. If you didn't you'd have a few match's ban. Once a month as well we used to play games agiasnt other clubs and that. My favourite game ever was when we playied agiasnt the fire brigade. I got pistol whiped by a mountin named brain. It was still fun though.

                      hop ups.. no :/ lmao.

we played with big boys guns, not hop ups. They were all limited to about 200/300 fps can't remember much cos i dont know loads about airsofting.

we used co2 full automatic weapons like these:

think thats an m4a1 or something..

well that's what airsofting is normally like, it was the same for me but it can get a bit tedious towards the end of the day. especially when it lasts 6-7 hours, we had all the marshalls etc.. I'd say their was about 150 of us in total.

Your either an idiot or lying. If you shot someone with that gun close range it wouldn't sting.

I dont mean to sound so nasty like. Its just i'll never forget when I got shot in the neck. I had to have the bb removed by a docter. So saying a shot stings from close range is quite silly. Speacially from that gun.

whats it matter? It stung me, the pain wasn't exactly excrutiating.. I just guess my pain threshold is higher than yours

That could be possible. Like I said though, ive had BB removed from my skin. Thats why I stand by what I say. That would hurt anyone. Like you said though "whats it matter?". Your are right. Im just going off my personal expirence.

fair enough, what was the FPS of the weapons you used when you last played?

Im really not sure what the FPS was of the gun that shot me. The FAMAS though I would say is around 250/350 odd. Dont Hold me to that though im not sure. Id have to ask my brother. Hes the hardcore airsofter.
