Yea its true ive never seen a dubbed anime pulled off well. However inuyasha was bad to start off with. So no matter how good the dubbing is doesn't make a difference.

PPPPPPPS. If a thread is posted on a topic like inuyasha and most other animes, expect opinions.

inuyasha is good. but it gets kinda lame after a while... all with that "kagome!!!" and then kagome says "inuyasha!!!".... please... stop with that..

i really hope that people who think inuyasha is so cool know of some other animes other than the ones on tv.
really i think its too immature, although i used to watch it for quite awhile, and dbz sorta got me into anime but please look farther than stuff on tv
try lain, whitch hunter robin, boogiepop phantom, cowboy bebop, azumanga daioh, or evangelion.
and i HIGHLY recommend ghost in the shell, because in that show, every episode has meaning.

Yea its true ive never seen a dubbed anime pulled off well.

I know the field you come from, and when it comes to dubs, I can honestly say that Figure 17 had the best dub I've ever heard. I actually enjoyed watching it in english.

Also, sometimes a dub can make a series so much better. Excel Saga, for instance. Excel has probably the most obnoxious voice ever, thus making her so much more awesome.

Oh I see how it works now. If the anime is on adult swim it is considered mainstream? You do truly fail. How many random anime freaks do you see running around with inuyasha t-shirts compared to peope wearing Paranoia Agent shirts (Marumi was cute haha)? How many people do you hear just anywhere anticipating the next episode of NGE compared to FMA? Mainstream I guess has different intrepretations but I wouldn't really consider Ghost in the Shell mainstream in the US. My point being, you need to read what I said. I didn't just go YAH GUYZ ALL MAINSTREAM ANIMEZ SUCKZ. I'm just making a generalization (which I shouldn't have made) and you took it the wrong way.

Melancholy has more ratings than Eureka Seven on ANN and not only is it not licensed, but it's not even over! And it should be noted that more than half of the ratings for Inuyasha came from people who watched the dub, whereas under 90% of the ratings for E7 came from the dub.

Haruhi =/= Eureka seveN

Haruhi has a genre that's easy for anyone to like. School comedies like Haruhi come a dime a dozen. First glance at Eureka seveN and mech shows like it also have be remade hundreds of times (too bad the mech isn't the bast part of it rofl). Haruhi also has three characters that could be sexually appealing, while Eureka seveN did not have any definant sex appeal to it.

Haruhi is going to leave this season with nothing to think about, I'm 90% positive. Even if there is going to be another season, fact remains you'll forget about it after a week.

i think that NGE had the best mainstream.(paranoia agent too)
