Well i played it and it owns. I suck at it really bad and have yet to kill someone. They all have these ****ing strong ass guns that own my punisher and suppresser. My IGN is Corners
Falcon - The weapons they're using against you are likely from the Heavy Assault certification. To get it, you need to spend 4 certification points in the Heavy Assault category after spending 2 points in Medium Assault.
Don't bother using the Punisher or Suppressor. Really, they're not worth it. Don't make yourself more frustrated than you need to be.
I suggest using your empire's standard Medium Assault weapon (TR - Cycler, NC - Gauss, VS - Pulsar) or the Sweeper. Those are the ones that are worth using if you don't want to spend the points in Heavy Assault.
Chromer - It is an FPS, but it's probably not what you're thinking. It's much slower paced than regular FPS's, and it combines a few (not many) RPG elements. The idea is that your character can advance, but a higher-level character will not have any advantage, as far as raw damage, over a lower-level character.
Yeah, it took me 3 hours before I could play, but just bide your time, it's fun.
ALSO: When you start you first dude, go through the tutorial UNTIL IT TELLS YOU TO GO TO INSTANT ACTION. DONT DO THAT. At that point, quit the tutorial, and explore the base. Run up to everything with an explamation point, and then GO TO THE VR TRAINING ROOM AND EQUIP EVERY WEAPON, ARMOR, SUPPORT, AND RIDE EVERY VEHICLE AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU CAN DO. Just drawing a weapon for the first time get you experience, and if you do EVERYTHING you can get up to Battle Rank 4 (or 3, or something). Then you have a KILLER edge against noobs that just go straight to Insant Action.
Yeah, Instant Action is broken anyway. Everytime I use it, I end up in the middle of nowhere just because a random hotspot showed up there a while ago.
The best thing to do for transport, if you have a low Battle Rank, is to certify in ATV. It only costs 1 certification point, you get three very fast ATVs, and you can get one of each every two minutes. You'll never be missing a ride if you get it. For higher BR players, the Mosquito is better. It costs 3 certification points, but it's the fastest vehicle in the game, ground or air.
ARGH I hate Mosquitos. I can't tell you how many times me and my platoon were cut down by Mosquito gunfire because none of us bothered to equip anything anti-air.
