      1) Yeah, eating meat is natural. But is it necessary? There are lots of natural things we don't do... like hunting our own food and clubbing it. And there are lots of unnatural things that we do, like using computers. So what? "Natural" isn't a good rationalization for anything.

      2) I don't like the taste of meat either. Tastes funny.

      3) When I said that meat and dairy smell "rotting", I meant that EVEN WHEN EDIBLE they smell rotting. All the meat that we receive and the cheese that we eat and the milk that we drink and the yogurt that we eat, it all smells rotting, and that's when it's fit for consumption. Of course vegetables GO BAD, but they only smell bad once they've gone bad.

I cannot deny meat for it has lots of protein. And i do need to encourage a positive nitrogen balance in my blood

          Vegetables are icky.

Seriously, make them taste better and I'll eat more of them. Yuck.

I eat like a tenth of the amount of vegetables I'm supposed to in a day, if I even get that much. Fun fact, I've never once been sick. Never caught a cold, never had much more than a headache every few months, etc. Only problem is that I couldn't fake sick from high school as a result; they all knew I'd never get sick.

The only thing I abstain from is medicine. Tastes worse than vegetables do and has far too many possible side-effects that I cannot ignore.

People can live without vegetables as a part of a regular diet. I am living proof.

PS - The vegetarian who works at the same store I do smells funny and is an insomniac. I blame vegetable-only diets.

You're right vegetables are nasty tasting to some people- and you don't need to eat them at all. Meat contains all the vitamins and nutrients that healthy cows eat.

I stopped consuming dairy products and my acne almost cleared up fully in 3 weeks.

I honestly don't like vegetables much. I love sweet corn. I could make an entire meal out of a cup of sweet corn and a pot full of mashed potatoes. I also like lettuce on turkey sandwiches and onions on hamburgers. Other than that, I usually won't eat vegetables unlessed it's mixed in with something else like fajitas, soup, or chow mein so I can't really taste it.

I love meat, though. I'll keep eating meat until I die.

If you want some tasty and healthy foods..i know this company that delivers Organic foods...im not trying to advertise but hey the veggies were really good, seriously. About food and acne...it seems like whatever i eat i still have acne. I've tried all the products from Proactiv to Murad but i still have breakouts. I'll still cut down on greasy foods. As for vegetables...i'd rather eat fruits for the rest of my life instead of that.

Digestion puts the nutrients from food back into the animal's body, so they're there when we eat them. It's true that animals metabolize food, but the nutrients from food wouldn't do any organism any good if they just passed through the body and were expelled as waste. Almost all of the good stuff is absorbed into the body and whatever can't be absorbed is then expelled.

Uh... it's not just absorbed and incorporated into flesh - it's utilized for cellular processes from which the products are excreted into the bloodstream. That's why you have to keep replenishing the nutrients o_O

Same here... I eat maybe 1/5th of what I'm supposed to (lots of juice though). I get sick every now and then though =(

Regarding medicine... I take it only in rare cases. On the whole, I stay clear. Perscription or not... they tried putting me on antidepressants when I went through my 'life sucks' phase. Kinda 'didn't take em', even though my mom (who's sold on em... and for her, I think they do her good) said she could see a difference... -_-. Meh... I don't like drugs.

                        Cept caffine. xD

That doesn't mean the nutrients aren't there when the processed meat is put in front of a human for consumption. Of course nutrients have to be replenished, but saying that metabolism completely eliminates those nutrients negates the whole reasoning behind eating meat except that it tastes rlyrly gud, which is good enough reason to eat anything, but we sort of die without proper nutrition.

Hey guys let's have a discussion about the merits of vegetarianism based off of subjective personal experience and leap of faith conclusions

Sounds good. I could give a **** less about whether or not vegetarianism is legitamate- I only care about how it applies to me.
