OK, I tried some of the others people suggested and they was really friggin tough.

I can only pass most of these 9's on first stage. I passed Tsugaru first stage with a C and failed it twice second stage...I also passed Xenon 1st stage with a C and I KNOW I'd have failed it second stage because I got tons of misses. The only 9 I can consistently pass on second and final is Matsuri Japan, which really isn't all that tough anyway. I think my problem is that I can't read the 16ths at C250-ish...should I increase to 2x (so C320 or so) or what?

As for crossovers, I at least got my body to attempt a LUR crossover (although I got a boo), which is way more than I could do before. I'm also getting better at doing LDR crossovers on the other side. (facing right instead of left how I always used to do it).

some people would give you a bad time for speed mods but since you are working on it it would help you out a lot. Rythm and police is a great crossover song. I believe it is a 9 step although I'm not sure.

The speed mods on DDR debate is old, tired, and outdated. No one really cares anymore. Personally, though, I think 1x no bar on DDR is the most fun (I use speed mods on ITG). If you're having trouble reading it, just play some stuff on 1x on SM. Downloading the DDR files and playing them on SM will help, too.

No. I derive no pleasure or enjoyment whatsoever from playing with slower mods. That's not where the fun of the game is for me--I've tried, and all it does is annoy me.

Whatever speed mod will allow me to get the highest score is the one I want to use.

YOu you want ot save uber, uber moola, buy the home versions, hell, buy all four for the ps2 (I never played the ones on the PSX, so i couldnt really give you an opinion on them) Even if you buy them all at the same time totaling about 200 bucks...think of how many quaters that would be. Lets crunch some numbers shall we? Most ddr machines take 3 quarters, and you get 3 songs per game, assuming you pass all the songs (4 if you get the extra stage) So, 200 bucks divided by 0.25 is 800 quarters, which is 266.66 (repating) games, which is of course 800 games. Now take into account that you can set the stage limit to a maximum of 5 in DDRMAX DDRMAX2 and DDR Extreme. 200 bucks= infininte DDR p00n age or 800 games. You do the math, even though i already did

instead of ARGUING with your mom about it being good excercise, you should instead use a picture of me after a full day's playing. Believe me, it ain't pretty. lol

The convincing didn't involve arguing...it involved me showing up at her office purple in the face from playing DDR and asking her to pay for it because it was exercise. =)

Yeah I've been playing for about 2 years now, and my body type is average. I'd say it only works out your cardio though. If it does give any leg improvement, its unnoticable, so don't play to get buff XD. Even though I like DDR better, i'd say ITG is a better work out, cuz you have to get down on your hands and come back up alot.

And I don't think you have to be fit to play ddr, i've seen alot of "overweight" people who are really good. It's just once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier and less tiring.
