I started DDR again a month ago since I've bearly played it ever. And I can already do lvl 10 step like Fantasy and I can like pass max 300 standard with a high B. I am improving rapidly. just keep trying songs you haven't done before.

Man I played Rhythm and Police yesterday, and when you get the hang of crossovers...that song is REALLY fun to just play and FC.

Ok those songs are a bit hard for when you're talking about just trying to learn crossovers period.

Try something like AM3P or spin the disk for crossovers or even stuff with not that many crossovers just like a few here and there over the course of the song like eversnow or living in america. If you're good enough for tsugaru which has gallops and crossovers try that.

Or if tsugaru is too hard try like cowgirl for gallops. Gay song but it'l help.

I like that song but it is way to repetitive. gets boring after a while.

You lucky guys with arcades! I have to play at home with garbage pads, I'm getting my driver's liscense soon so I'll go to the arcade that is liek 20-30 minutes away and play there for fun. I bet I beat half the people rofl. You should use edit library if you have it at home, Duk Amok's .59 is ****ing awesome.

I can't hit that pattern at all. I keep trying to without doublestepping and miss every time...

I'll keep trying it though...I'll get it eventually.

And plus, the pad is kinda crappy...especially the right arrow. To hit a freeze on it, I have to pull up on the pad while pushing down on the arrow with all my might for the duration of the freeze. Just standing and not pushing down really hard on it gives me a NG 100% of the time...

And by the way, how how HOW do you hit L D R U or R D L U without doublestepping? The only way I could think of is spinning completely around, which I wouldn't even bother attempting because I'd probably get 3 misses right there...is there another way I'm not seeing?

What you want to do is shift your weight like YungYung said. It is basically the exact same thing as a normal crossover (LDRDLDRDLDRD) except you are actually going to have your body half facing the screen. What I do usually is I keep my left foot on the Up arrow (for LURULURU) and just slide my right foot back and forth between the Left and Right arrow. This is essential to the harder songs, especially in R&P where you have this stream and also a gallop stream similar to this (UURRUULLUURRLLUU). I say just keep practicing the songs and get used to not always staring directly at the screen while you are playing. As for the RDLU, you just have to learn to trust yourself as you HAVE to turn all the way around for these. Something that helped me out a little bit on those is to actually semi-bar rape so you know where to start and begin. A song to practice this is Break Down, but that song is a bit fast so I wouldn't recomend it for your level right now. Does anyone have any suggestions for spins? My mind just blanked out. Hope this all helps. Now, it is just a matter of your own comfort and your trust in yourself during the songs =)

It's because off assholes like you I cut my wrists. Seriously though, it's crazy how good people are getting now in such a short period of time. It took me two years to do 8s and 9s and another year to do Paranoia Survivor. I didn't even beat max300 until some time last Spring/summerish. Keep up the good work. Matsuri Japan is a good place to start for 9s.

Ben, we started too early. Growing up with 3rd Mix was not easy. Plus, we didn't play SM before DDR.

I haven't found an 8 I can't pass and I'm trying to find 9's that I can, of which I've found one (Captain Jack).

Now I'm trying to learn how to do tricky stuff (turns, crossovers, spins, etc).

Tsugaru, R&P, Matsuri Japan, I feel (crappy song but works on freezes), Sakura (a 10 but really is a harder 9), Saints Go Marching In, Cartoon Heroes, So deep, Xenon, Healing Vision. Not sure about any easy 9s as I have not played in a while, but from what I remember, these were the decent ones. Hope this helps once again =/
