Moogy does have a point though. SquareEnix did throw in that random crap just to set up some fight scenes. For example, the kidnapping of Marene was completely pointless, other then drawing cloud into another pointless fight (it was pretty cool though...) Aeris was totally random, and it was only there (at least it felt this way) to sorta tie back to the game. I think the main thing though was that the movie was entertaining and that is all that really matters right?
