Everything we know and think and see is entirely a product of perception.

Actually understanding the way the universe(s) work(s) is entirely hindered by our thought patterns as human beings, and by our culture ingrained into our general way of thinking.

I, minus the negativity (I suppose it's my mood, normally cynicism appeals to me), agree with RaiRai. But I still might as well adress the OP...

Stage 1: Ehh, sounds like a galaxy to me. And there's a lot of those within this universe.

Stage 2: Elaborate, it seems (the way you describe implies) that stage 2 is essentially an extension of stage 3.

Stage 3: FFR4EVA pretty much got it... imagine that every miniscule change at any present moment. The way a leaf falls, in the way the simple thoughts a person (I love his sims...) make, every single damn quantam particle spinning one way or another, will make a slight change which would result in another universe. Every possibility manifesting itself into alternate realities(theoretically... how this makes any sense physically is based on, to put simply, time)... the only word to define it is 'infinite'.

Stage 4: Not really physical properties, but I'd say laws. Which could be taken in so many ways... even considering what a 4th spatial dimension is, at least for us, impossible to realize. Naturally, we can imagine and come up with analogies (hypercubes and such), but we're still very limited in our thinking. Regardless, I'm not the person to solve it.

As RaiRai said, it's perceptions really... reference frames as some would put it... but life is perception. Meh. My perception is that I'd rather concern myself on the immediate issues that will affect my own life, rather than wasting my thoughts on all that other crap. Frankly, I'd rather waste them on myself.

I think you stole that "Do angels and demons walk amongst.." bit from that moive Constantine. Also to assume that Heaven and Hell exist is too asume that there is a god.

I also think that this debate is pointless as there is no way to prove that there is or isn't a alternative universe(s).

My best guess, Snapple, is one of two things:

Heaven and Hell both exist here on Earth (cliche much?).

Or, that it's on a whole nother plane of existence. More of a spiritual sense or w/e...

Just me though. And yeah, we can't prove a lot of this, but sometimes you hear an idea and it sticks to you. We wouldn't get that if we didn't discuss this stuff. If we did get into all that complex theoretical physics crap, we prolly could seemingly prove some of this stuff, but my high school bull-**** twat theories aren't educated enough to have a 'good' debate... oh well.

EDIT: Mattyohh, I don't necessarily think that Heaven / Hell (in an idealogical sense, not religious) have to be bound to some 'God'.

I know what you mean about the not having to be bound to a 'God'. I like the idea of going to another plain (sp?) of existence when we die and having the freedom to navigate through out the universe(s). At school the only 'good' debate we ever have is over religion, but that is controlled by our chaplain so as she can make sure that the pro-christian side always wins. Anyway back on topic, the only way we will be able to prove Thorax's theory or any alternative universe(s) theroies is if some sort of worm hole opened up in out vicinity and we explored it.

Even if we did have an afterlife, I doubt it would be necessarily more "free" than this one. That would suggest that everything we know is a test of some sort, which is a very outdated theory.
