I heard it sold 200,000 or something like that in Japan on launch day, partly because the "tough-as-nails" Weekly Famitsu gave it a 37 out of 40. And if Weekly Famitsu says it's good... then it's good.

If I were you, I wouldn't have spent so much on the turnips. This time around, it seems harder to get a really good price on the turnips, seeing as for the second time I participated, like in the first time the prices drop by a fairly large percentage.

Well, there are ways of keeping your turnips from rotting =) I also own this game and it is pretty good. I haven't played wifi yet but plan on doing that soon. Anyone have any tips on making fast money, besides fishing and turnips? I'm getting done on my 2nd debt(haven't played much but still...)

there isn't really much else you can do in winter to raise money, Zarbon. Look for fossils, and fish (in the ocean, especially when it's snowing) as much as possible. If Nook's is closed, collect as much fish as possible, store them up in your house, and sell them the next day. I get too bored after Nook's closes to do that much work, but it might work for you.

I guess... That's all I did on the GC and it get's boring after a while... I already caught all the winter and yearly fish and I am not changing the time to get the rest. I guess I'll just catch the repetatve fish for two more months... btw, I got Nookington's last night and dont have wifi!! My cousin bought paper from my town when he was over and once he left it I had the store. It was kool. If any1 needs a winter fish list, lemme know =)

EDIT: I got golden shovel and like 4 shooting stars yesterday

Ohh maaaaaaan, AC. I loved this game so much on GC. I'd never buy a DS, but if I did this'd be the first game I got. They shouldn't have allowed you to be able to change the time though, it was too tempting to cheat >_<

PS: On the GC version I bought something along the lines of 200,000 bells worth of turnips for 90 each and sold them for 1400 each

The DS version is supposed to screw up your game somehow if you mess with the clock too much. Never tried it or looked for other sources confirming it though.

Yes, they still do. I know this because one time I wondered if an outcome could actually be affected by resetting the game, which was what other people did. It didn't affect anything at all, really.
And he still yells at you.

I thought so. Resetti is like, the best game character ever invented. A mole that comes over to your house and talks to you about how you're ruining his life. I laughed so hard for half his visits.

I met someone a while back on DDRFreak's forums. I just found out yesterday that she has the game. Her boyfriend also has the game. Anybody up for expanding our community a bit?

I'll try to convince my parents to get wi-fi for me. I have seen what happens when you change time too much... one of my cousins did it to his game. It's just like the GC version, crap load of weeds (and clover patches this time. I got 2 four-leaf clovers from his town lol), and none of the townspeople wil be around or remember you that much. I got like a 5000 point bonus from the HRA for having some identical items with the clovers in the house!! I'm on my third debt still, lol!

P.S. If you reset too much on both DS and GC, Ressetti WILL RESET YOUR GAME. by that I mean once you load He comes out, yells a bunch, then resets your game. Once you get on again he says something dealing with, "Now you see how I feel!" type of speech. I dont know if he does anything more drastic if you continue to reset =)
