If I am reading it right, you think Haku being task-oriented is not really alignment indicative but that the way that Haku is talking around inactives is not something you agree with and could be sus. I would like to better understand why you think that bit is negatively alignment indicative for Haku. I do not see what Haku is doing as being opportunistic or unreasonable, because Haku is also interacting with people who are here while also encouraging activity. I do have a slight worry that I am biased though.
Also, if you sus somebody as much as you can d0, is there a reason you are not voting?

can double check that too in archives lol
Zenith I am pinged by this interaction because I think this is something that you could have held onto longer to watch for basically - we were less than halfway through d0 at that point. Which, makes me worry that the motivation for posting this now is to look good.

I think the reason I was initially "confused" was because the initial interpretation I had regarding "creating information" was exactly what you describe here, but I thought "that can't possibly be it, that simply amounts to just playing the game". So I was kinda hoping for a different answer and I'm kinda disappointed by this response.
I did have some time to think what else could be meant by "create information" aside from things that basically amount to "playing the game". I think the answer I would have liked better would be something like playing a more "aggressive townie" game. I feel like my townie game tends to be more of an "observer" style where I try to take in everything and then I spew my thoughts and insights (and then sometimes bounce). This can work well in the case that the insights are good, although in a game with so little information that could be considered "ground truth", a game full of just observers might not cut it. There needs to be folks that ask other players questions, poke and prod other players, since such tactics are more likely to give more information and insight.
I will say that when I initially read your post (#43), the vibes were off. Unfortunately, the vibes haven't gotten much better. I can't remember what your usual gameplay is like (e.g. is it typical for you to make such serious, in-depth posts so early on d0?), but regardless, the post is giving "I'm gonna try to appear helpful to get townie points" but looking closely at the post, I would say that the vast majority of it is fluff that isn't particularly helpful (at least to me).
I think some others have already mentioned it, but I also agree with them regarding how I'm not entirely convinced by this last paragraph. I didn't say anything earlier about it because I wanted time to think about it some more, but this last paragraph sounds like something that would be on very long TWG fortune cookie: a craftedly-worded premonition that gives the appearance of imparting some wisdom.
From previous games (forever ago), I remember I'll sometimes have tunnel vision anytime a particular post rubs me the wrong way. I'll need to look more closely at star-crossed's other posts to try to get a better sense of where I stand on this. But I want to make sure I have a record of these feelings before I forget.
I made the post to try to generate conversation around things that I would actually be able to get a read from or will give me context about how people are approaching the game, not really to give advice, I would say. I now have a real read on you partly because of your response to the post, for example.
As for how I play? I am a wordy bitch and an anxious tryhard. It is not uncommon for me to get some negative attention d0 for being a tryhard because most of you do not relate to it. I actually often prefer to replace in and just skip that part.

'you have to see it too' Is this mainly rhetoric or like an actual concern of e.g. w/w?

Let's see how much of a misc. reads post I can get through on my laptop before I have to leave the house for several hours (I think the answer is not that many)
Shado - #136 "Hakulyte and Raeko's exchange on this subject are in line with their respective traditional meta thoughts were 6 years ago, so that's probably positive for both." - why would this not be neutral? This also worries me from a standpoint of, trying to look like solving.[*]There is nuance to how he approached my philosophy post (mentions of coming back to it from diff. angles, follow ups) that I think is good analysis, but I think that deserves less "credit" essentially than being able to analyse a broader scope.
Hateandhatred -[*]#99 - "Immediately sussing out this post. I don't have questions, I just slightly hate it. At least no question where any answer would be satisfying. But I've also been wrong on bugkid literally every single game we've played, so... maybe it's time to look inward. But before I do that, I think this looks like an extremely forced post to talk about alignment, plus the "I got called out for this before" [...] But then again like they said it's d0 and this gut feeling will soon not matter at all, probably, possibly, especially if the post comes across as genuinely trying to be helpful early on in retrospect"[/LIST]- There is a lot going on in this post. It is both quite critical and also self-doubting. For me, it crosses into more likely to be from the perspective of somebody actually having to deal with d0 as town. The caveat here would be, ok, if you can have this much of a journey about this one post, tell us more about other people, surely you have more?
Bugkid - I think the t/t post about sun fan and me could have come out that way because of TMI, like coming about too easily. I need more on that and about other things

Yes, I mean Freezin for example does take an approach of exaggerating for pressure, but there is more than one way to lay the groundwork for long-term solving, really.

I guess I'll take note that Shadowolfe/zenith/dabackpack/xel/botchi are missing in that list, but likely too difficult to read at this point. Solid reads overall for a general vibe.
ps: H&H would scum read bugkid as a wolf if both wolves. You can get some nice town cred going that route.
I think I would give a pass to Star here. Maybe I'm too easy, but I'd need at least to see where the votes are going. I don't think a guts read is wise here. At least, if that was the wolf play, I'd rather find another one first.
I actually think bugkid is more likely to be town while H&H is more likely to be wolf here. Could be bias from the previous game, but I think wolves would want to get some sort of initiative and target someone like bugkid that might be more difficult to defend. Heck, possibly you as well.
I guess the 300 IQ game plan is to afk and watch me try to find something that doesn't exist.
You know H&H pretty well if I recall correctly; would you mind giving me your take on what I just posted with regard to him?

The short version is that bugkid doesn't play like H&H wants bugkid to play. The problem imo lies with H&H rather than bugkid here. I don't think bugkid will change their playstyle to accomodate H&H's expectations and I feel like he's aware of that as well, but still choose to pursue interest in that direction. I just think he should look elsewhere for now.

I mean, I'm assuming it's something like "he said the same thing in 4-5 other games and he ended up being a wolf" kind of deal. I could be wrong tho. I don't have a lot of games with Zenith. So, I won't be the ideal person to interpret what's going on here.
Do you have any opinion on Freezin pressuring Ben?
I get where Freezin is coming from, I think my past self would have done the same. I'm just wondering if it's possible to understand something from Ben's playstyle. Not everyone has min/maxed posting efficiency to achieve a certain result. Also, I don't have a lot of games with Ben, but I do know he has tendency to play like he's doing right now regardless of alignment. If I learn something new from this game with him, I'd be pretty happy with it.
I'm sure some of my posts will come out weird from going back and forth like this, but the purpose of what I'm doing is to also try to figure out who's likely to be town in a way that's hard to emulate. If you're confident of even half of town in your reads, it makes the process of elimination much easier. It's not a full proof method, but mixed with the help of others it's often enough to win a game even if you don't find wolves directly. I'd encourage you to do something similar in your own way.

That is a good point that it is irrational to be focusing so much on somebody your track record is bad with unless you have a specific way you expect that you can do better this time on. I do not necessarily think that it is sus in that post to be irrational but the trajectory will matter.
Zenith thing is a reference to the last game. Towards the bottom of this post Sun fan summarises the situation. https://www.flashflashrevolution.com...&postcount=254
Zenith ended up flipping town. This situation kind of hurt sun fan's ego because he had worse reads than usual in general including that, so understanding that is kind of relevant to understanding some stuff he has said here too.
The flashback is because Zenith's entrance in the last game was similar. To be honest, I think sun fan having *flashbacks* seemed...visceral, it makes me believe in it more.
I do not really think sun fan has trouble giving similar leans as a wolf to what he would plausibly give as town. Obviously there are wlightm
Re: TWG 210: Vanilla Ice Cream in Sprite [GAME THREAD]
Ah shit I accidentally hit quick reply while trying to correct my spelling.
Obviously there are slight considerations for how you treat your partners and well, wolves have certainty. And certain things like, I think he really /believes/ the raeko avatar read even if he is a wolf, so I do not think they both would be.
But it is more kind of...mindset, that is important.

You're not wrong though, also that reads as sincere and helpful meta insight, to me that's very town. Either that or you're literally trying to pocket me, but I don't think that's a Haku play at all.

I kind of want to see ben or raeko flip
Not because of any particular thing, not even quite because I have any reason for it, but the nature of their interactions tickles the paranoia part of my brain and I can't articulate cleanly why
And they're not the only players to hit this right now
Like, another in game day will probably sort it out but the traded town reads feel a tangible arbitrary I cannot parse how i'd like to

Key operating word here is "could", I could do a lot of things, say a lot of things, but I only think you feel off about it because you want to feel that way about it as I highly doubt you could consider this performative when I'm just explaining why I've said what I've said.
Did you ask yourself why I would hold onto saying that longer than when I did? Seems a bit silly.
My "meta" w/ raeko is pretty developed as she's one of the few people I regularly find myself playing with, pointing it out as I did I feel helps her and I both out w/ moving forward.
