SponCon R4 Song Submission: Mindless Self Indulgence (aka MSI) Straight to Video

MSI is my all time favorite band I picked this song because I have loved MSI's music even longer than when I first discovered FFR over 13.5 years ago. I remember seeing this song and being so excited that my favorite game had a song from my favorite band.

That said- MSI (since its experimental counterculture industrial electronic rock to put it in the simplest of terms <3) has so many AMAZING tracks that can potentially be AMAZING FFR songs. Anyone out there love MSI and want to make them into some songs for me? Lol

Also- MSI's newest music is the album Euringer. Best album I've heard in 10 years. The album has vocal guests like Grimes, Serj Tankian (System Of A Down), and Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance). This is also an entire album that can be made into FFR songs.

Honestly, I wish I could make an MSI server lol

Sponcon: Comptine D'un Autre Ete Techno Mix

This song is actually really close to me because this was the first song i learnt to play on the piano. I remember all those struggles I made in order to learn this song as I did not have good hand independence.
When I joined FFR 4 months back, I was new to VSRG games. I randomly searched up this song and to my surprise this song was there. It was my dream to FC this song. It took me like around 1000's of attempts to FC this song (with like 100 boos) which once again reminded of the struggles I had while learning it on the piano.Thus, this is also one of my favorite songs in FFR.

For the SponCon, I chose party 4u "holy nite mix" v2. I found this song to be a bit too easy for a difficulty of 67! Sure, it's a legacy song, offsync, but still an easy 67. Even many 50s I can't even handle!! How is it even possible I can handle this one?!

Songs are mainly rated on a factor of getting the aaa. Plus, the background is what made it a 67. It's not bad at all without it. With it, and all blue notes a few parts are pretty damn hard. I couldn't get the aaa until the new engine had the no background option. I had 2 clean for yearssss lol
Marisa stole the precious thing is the same way. I had a bf until no background. It's so hard to read, but it's pretty simple without it.

Idk what is the problem but I can't set an AAA-score on this. This feels weird. Rhythm is inconsistent and I can't play it normally like other charts. As XJ-9 mentioned, I've completed much more harder charts here. Maybe the problem is in unstable weather and continuous headaches. Anyway, I won't stop participating in this tournament until a big trouble happens. Hope I'll be able to finish all 6 rounds.

All these song picks are really good ones. I'm not just saying this. All those songs either got stuck in my head way back when or I just played them a lot, just didn't merit a #1 spot for me.

Spon con: Southern cross has always been my favorite song on here. I really like the song, but also the chart is pretty well rounded in terms of patterns and a good warmup for sure. I have 236 plays on this, and thats because I used to literally play it every single session back when I One Handed lol




Also, i played the D6 file just for LULs and yup...im still garbage. But apparently i would have tied my best of 29-0-3-1 on it if i had missed one less XD
