Re: How to overcome major first pattern mind blanks
To be sympathetic though the intro of Lolo is probably the most mindblocked pattern in the entire game, Lolo is ridiculous
edit: also dinglesberry, the mindblock isn't because of 1h trill speed, it's an actual mindblock on the pattern before the trill. statements about how the other people giving advice are "garbage" is pretty rich coming from someone who's barely SDG'd the file in question lmaoLast edited by MikeShinoda12345; 03-25-2019, 11:38 PM.

Re: How to overcome major first pattern mind blanks
haha im in the same boat as you man. The rest of lolo is pretty easy(usually) but i cant ever get past the first 10 notes with the aaa and ive played the file ALOT as well. I didnt play it for like 5 years and when i came back i still couldnt do the intro....
I find playing lolo with no sounds helps alot though
Edit: haha im at 767 plays and i somehow lucked 3g on it a long time ago.Last edited by SK8R43; 03-25-2019, 01:27 PM.Thee Burstinator

Re: How to overcome major first pattern mind blanks
I've always played with the idea that, mindblocks go away as you get faster, and the patterns that you cannot play become easier. Of course its not a, oh i woke up and can hit it (although it can be), but i have noticed after coming back to old files that some hard patterns now feel completely easy just because i'm comfortable with the speed.Comment

Re: How to overcome major first pattern mind blanks
I'd say Lolo is one of those ones where you have to be VERY comfortable with that speed (as in to the point where it's trivial) to not be constantly mindblocked on it, but try playing without sound, changing note colour, shifting finger/arm position slightly, pretty much anything that subtly but not completely affects how you play. Also, a big one is downrating the pattern and seeing if that helps. If that doesn't work then yeah, taking another big break from the file and playing others will help.
