Now see here, I'm a bird lover and love my birds, but I won't lie and say eating some bird is immoral.

That would be guilt free way of doing it, and it would release them back into nature so the circle of life could continue. I couldn’t live with having my pet murdered at human hands.Comment

I hate to be the one to tell you this but... human lives != turkey lives

Also, wow, did you really just compare execution to sentient beings to execution for foods and goods?

Like you, I wouldn’t eat you, you can talk, and you can think on an intelligent level. If anything, I’d take you clothes shopping with me and we’d probably end of close friends (and not fake friends like the Florida furries were with me)Comment

What in the world...?
Queen, listen to yourself.
You want them to die on their own terms, right? So you're saying them getting shredded to pieces due to them not being able to move is on their own terms?
No animal in existence would do this, they would go hiding somewhere where it's safe, as that's what they're instinctively meant to do.

Re: If humans could make dogs immortal, should we?
I'm still sad my cat was put down a few weeks ago, but I'm beyond anything else relieved that she's out of pain and not needing diabetes medication injected into her twice daily because that would be no quality of life for her.
I miss her, and wish she was here, but she'll always be a part of my family and my thoughts, and I'm fortunate that both her and I had so many good memories together.
I wouldn't change the decision that was made, given the context, in a million years.,,

Time for me to hide away and return when my patches decide to work…Comment
