Every debate is going to be the same. Trump will continue to show absolutely no real understanding of US government or foreign policy while Hilary kicks ass.

Not that I want to vote for her. I'm just in a position where I feel like I don't really have a choice.

Kinda wish I didn't live in a swing state so I could vote for Johnson.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump go into a bakery.

As soon as they enter the bakery, Hillary steals three pastries and puts them in her pocket.

She says to Donald, "See how clever I am? The owner didn't see anything and I don't even need to lie.” I will definitely win the election.

Then Donald says to Hillary, "That's the typical dishonesty you have displayed throughout your entire life, trickery and deceit. I am going to show you an honest way to get the same result."

Donald goes to the owner of the bakery and says, "Give me a pastry and I will show you a magic trick." Intrigued, the owner accepts and gives him a pastry. Trump swallows it and asks for another one. The owner gives him another one. Then Donald asks for a third pastry and eats that, too.

The owner is starting to wonder where the magic trick is and asks, "What did you do with the pastries?" Trump replies, "Look in Hillary's pocket".

Hahaha. As if frivolous torts come even close to constituting a significant proportion of our healthcare costs. First of all, the two are not related to the extent that it really makes sense to utilize tort reform as a solution to healthcare expenditures. Proposed solutions to problems should, if possible, be remotely related to the problems that they attempt to ameliorate. Example of the opposite: childhood obesity is a major health concern that may seriously reduce U.S. productivity. Solution: decrease energy expenditures to allocate funding toward ending childhood obesity. Wait a minute, that doesn't make sense, because the two aren't related in a significant way, and it would make more sense to reduce funding for a health program that was ineffective at improving heath outcomes, in order to fund more effective health policies. Furthermore, healthcare expenditures are expected to constitute $3 trillion this year, compared to $105 billion a year for torts. That is, torts, generally. not frivolous torts. Reforming frivolous torts, mathematically, is one of the most ludicrously inadequate solutions I've ever seen proposed to cutting healthcare costs.

wow, it's almost as if Johnson's "only issue" with the existence of criminal defense lawyers would be that they are required to treat good and bad defendants the same. it's not like that way of looking at adversarial systems is completely short sighted and impractical, or anything. Let's just get rid of Bad Ppl and replace them all with Good Ppl. easy!

and i mean, that's without getting into the fact that he couldn't name a single world leader without immense leading. I mean, i honestly dont' even really care that much about that. i mean, i do a little, but it's pretty trivial in the grand scheme of the horrific, policy abortions that Johnson has proposed. but it's just kind of the icing on the cake at this point

Can you rationally parse out this statement without: 1) defaulting to irony; 2) sounding like an idiot; and 3) not making a false equivalency between trump and hillary?

I mean I get that you basically just said trump is 10x worse than hillary, but those are meaningless, emotionally charged quantifiers, and I doubt you could come up with comparable quantifiers relating to johnson and hillary that would be convincing.

at least, not ones he respects if i remember that sound bite, which is dangerous

thing is i have a hard time putting stock in foreign policy experience as a prerequisite, because it's hard to have without having worked in a job like secretary of state before, but it is a huge plus factor for those who have it

johnson has other executive experience which is a plus for him but ideologically he's a minus
