it was clearly a joke, and i'm pretty certain that the people who realized it was a joke are the ones that actually talk to him and don't just freak out over random shit - p.s. you're really in no place to determine that it wasn't, honestly

also, i'd kinda like to address another post here that i didn't see before that kinda aggravates me being that i've spent time making charts on both ends of the spectrum, technical and semi-dumpy/dumpy

This isn't about play styles; this is about making simfiles and the time and work invested into creating them.

this post absolutely infuriates me given that we're talking about icy here, of all people, who has not only made a shitton of content over a large span of packs, but a rather large majority of the content he has made is for songs that are quite long -- yes, it takes time to lay things out with proper layering/structure/PR, but icy's actually shown in his charts that he actually can do that when he's not fixated on making endless Sharpnel charts

if there's an implication of time spent making simfiles, i certainly didn't see it - maybe i should look again

and one more thing:

Not referring to icy one bit, you misunderstand (just see how many hours he spent on Icy X, and it's pretty obvious he spent tons of time. Nevertheless, that is not what I was talking about). See the quote I was referring to earlier:

This post simply refers to how you play a file, whereas the topic is more relevant to simfile creation. This isn't about being hipster in playing a file a fancy way. I think the post misread past responses as people complaining about how to play a file whereas the conversation is about how certain files are created. It's a bit easier to understand the conversation if you've made simfiles before, and I don't think Dingleberry has created any, if I recall correctly.
