hence why older styled packs were mentioned; you would be hard pressed to find recent charts that don't deviate from the stamina-draining, js meta that's been flooding sm due to... who? you guessed it!

I sincerely doubt that icy was being ironic, given that helblinde specifically asked for "not nb" and icy dodged that by saying "download the nuclear blast pack i just released that's totally not nuclear blast but actually is."

He most likely said other patterns because he couldn't think of any other terminology for what he wanted. It's pretty obvious he wanted something similar to the NBJS series.

Icy was being half-serious, half-joking. If you've been on this site long enough, you should know by now we do that a lot here.

btw, the meta's changed if you haven't noticed in the past 4 years. Can't blame Icy for it just because people find his stuff fun nowadays. I still play technical/older shit here and there on rates and what not, other people simply don't. It's w.e. Pushing peoples' own boundaries for this game is what people enjoy nowadays and js/speed files are the best way to show one's improvement in this game. I used to love playing technical MA/older files, but either no one recognizes them, or no one else plays them anymore.


You can't expect people to play technical stuff just because it's done well either, that's a pretty shitty approach if you ask me.

If someone likes the NB series, then Icy X would also be something they would enjoy. So it makes perfect sense that Icy would recommend the successor to the NB series.

What other good packs can you recommend??

I personally recommend the Yolomania series and the NBJS series if it's not downloaded yet.
