Re: Sweeping anti-gay legislation soon to become law in North Carolina
Possibly related: The 4th Circuit Court, which has jurisdiction over NC, has ruled that a Virginia transgender high school student cannot be required to use the gender-neutral bathrooms, as doing so violates Title IX. And Gov. McCrory has said he will abide by it.
So that's that argument going up in smoke.

Canada is exploring the use of gender-neutral options on identity cards, Justin Trudeau told a television station on Sunday as he became the first Canadian prime minister to march in a gay pride parade.

yes, your many logical arguments on this subject would suggest that you have valid reasons for denying bathroom use to people whose gender you do not acknowledge for other well explained and thouroughly justified reasons.
Re: Sweeping anti-gay legislation soon to become law in North Carolina
oh i definitely acknowledge transgenders who think they are the other of the two genders. the only two in existence
and yes title ix is bullshit, it cut my university's mens soccer and baseball team right before i went to baseball's open tryouts. now we have women's basketball and women's soccer that dont draw a crowd. the supply didnt meet the demand so title ix skewered it and tons of girls at my school are pissed, they dont want to go to women's games either
Re: Sweeping anti-gay legislation soon to become law in North Carolina
I'm having a very difficult time finding any scientific evidence that supports the claim that transgenderism is a thing, in fact I can only find the opposite. I'm all for respecting people but I find it troubling that the 40% of those who are transgender, wish they had never had post op. I'm aware that post op transgenders are actually in the minority, but if the science available isn't clear, (maybe it is although i struggle to find any) isn't it sort of a moral issue when we allow possibly mentally ill people to willingly mutilate their bodies? Just a random thought

some pretty basic googling shows that this is 100% bullshit.
you never had a men's soccer team and your baseball program was cut because your school moved into a conference that doesn't have baseball and no other conferences wanted to take you on.
it looks like after the baseball team was dropped the women's soccer team started to use their old field, which is probably where your misplaced anger is coming from, but again, nothing to do with title nine.
ps they replaced the mens baseball team with a mens tennis team. a real tragedy, but further proof that it has nothing to do with gender or title ix.
