This game had an era of index files at multiple levels of difficulty mostly around 2005 where people like Reach, Rebirth, Arch0wl etc. stepped a lot of index files. Considering the OP is a member since 10+ years, I actually think this is a legitimate concern. I guess jumpstream/jumps/jacks/hands are a lot more present than stream in contrast to the early stages of FFR vs nowadays. Now, it's the opposite. There's a fairly limited amount of pure stream files in the middle to higher range of difficulty. Most of the hardest songs has at least a mix of multiple patterns. It's not a bad thing, it's just different from how it used to be.

I'm assuming OP is mostly looking for index friendly songs with various patterns that are giving a DDResque feel. I suggest playing index files on rates or to go find some of them on alternate Engines.

My point is that not everyone is playing this to be competitive, some players have a nostalgia from DDR times and are just looking for songs with friendly patterns to have fun and that's fine too. Pure stream can get hard as well ofc.
