my MA is only good on easy songs. If i played more i could do decently but I played on a bs setup for like two years to even want to play because it was more gratifying lmao.
When I did play legit I would just play quadbait files to kinda compete with gundam-dude
I'd get scores like these (2013)
(2012)
but would be so unwilling to play even remotely difficult stuff I never got any good at it
(2012)
yet four years later, today, not much changed (without warmup but I'd probably get similar timing regardless)
Ayy I got a 1.2 PFC on Mirage of the Rain a few times.
Also I am finally out of the hole I dug myself into. I got my Gov. class back up to an A and my Econ. class assignments all done, so that means back to Solo and early derusting.
Also choof if you waste your time playing with J6 or J7 then your accuracy could be godlike. Give it a shot.
I didn't quad 1.2, but I think I could if I waste my time getting Halogen accuracy .3.
And with me I was playing o2jam and LR2 mostly before getting that back into Solo. I lost a lot of my Single skill because of that, but before it was I was lost in Singles and lost a shit ton of skill for LR2 and o2jam :v I just can't win basically.
here's how I look at that
if you want to be competitive in stepmania, then you basically need to play 4k. top tier 4k players aren't going to jump ship, especially since staiain is actively helping to breath some more life in to 4k. and 4k skill translates fairly well to osu!mania, where there's a TON of competition.
if you want personal fulfillment, then stick to 6k/bms. you won't see too much english competition in regards to bms, and there aren't many 6k players at all. I think 6k and bms are significantly more fun than 4k anyway.
I played all those for the hell of it to begin with. Never get competitive as much as I did during my Guitar Hero years because that was something everyone boasted about.
"Ayy I got a TTFAF Hard pass." Everyone would know what that meant because mainstream game.
"Ayy I got A on Shuffle Heaven." People look at you like you came from a foreign country.
When I started stuff like osu, I just played for fun and if someone was impressed, they were impressed. I didn't boast about it a single bit until I met people who talked to me. Only reason I did get into stuff like LR2 and Stepmania was because my osu flashdrive went missing (Boo hoo then and now it would be thank god :v). Sadly I'll admit I do not like how popular osu has become over the years, and the competitive 4k in osu isn't even really competitive, it's just >1/8 people who come from Stepmania or have the skill for it, then the rest are those auto convert only players, or even worse, 4k auto converts only.
