this is definitely an understandable thought after a first game IMO, and I'm not sure how much the responses of "it happens to everyone" and "you should do a, b, and c next time in order to improve your chances of winning the game" are going to come across as helpful to someone who's frustrated with their experience. the former is definitely true, though.
from what I've seen, nearly all of the online communities for this game are highly competitive. there tends to be a definite hierarchy of less vs. more commonly lynched players within each community. newer players usually (but not always) get pummeled; I don't think that's so different from, say, playing Halo online.
if putting in the time and effort to reach a level where you're not getting pummeled doesn't sound appealing, then go with your feelings, in my opinion. there are other games out there. this game will always be waiting for you if you ever feel like giving it another go.
