to be clear, why i eliminate the possibility of jteh killing two people while still hold it in the bank for charu is "why would jeth care/try-hard so much this phase if I was already an easy target and he would win by lynching me?" and there is no fathomable answer to that question.

i don't think jteh is a sophisticated enough liar to make up each of the things he made up about his role. they are too random and happenstance, lying usually follows a formula of stringing together a predictable narrative when done well, and when done poorly usually contains elements of banal and trite predictability. there are too many non-sequitor elements to what he had to say during his reveal to question the authenticity, truth is stranger than fiction is the adage used.

to put the adage in simpler terms, you want to make a simple enough lie that plays to the person such that they believe it. charu claiming his role but saying nothing about it, then me making a comment about how i couldn't believe there wasn't a tree stump in this game, and then charu making a commenting that he made people into tree stumps follows the over-arching pattern i look for, generally, in finding a liar. it's a strong referent in my thinking here.

he gave something that had precedent for believability, people would tend to not ask further.

jteh, on the other hand, gave a string of things that were more confusing and shocking and invited further questions for details, which is the antithesis of what someone lying wants. the longer and more complicated the lie the harder it is to defend.

this train of thought lends to my thought process where charu is the person remaining who is anti-town.

well i can't sleep. and it's an hour now. i want to note charu watched me post all that and then disappeared. roundbox was here briefly and then left but that is more understandable given what he has stated openly and my general perception of him.
