It was total ass, the strumming was soo awkward with the cheap feeling plastic "strings". Even the first rocksmith was 100x better and its tracking was pretty off compared to 2014. Really liked the keyboard though.

Also I would like to say that Pro Guitar and Bass are not supported on the new Rock Band, as well as Keyboard. While I personally didn't care, a lot of people have been up in arms about this.

Yeah I played the new GH at a gamestop, wasn't really too impressed with it.

Revived this thread with a new title mainly because I'm looking for people to play with on XOne. For those of you interested in buying either games, there prices have been cut since their launch ~7-8 months ago.

For those of you looking to buy GH: Live

• Amazon has GH: Live on sale for $44 with guitar

• Online play is currently available

• You NEED a new guitar to play

• Weak on disc setlist (imo), but GHTV makes up for it.

• GHTV REQUIRES an online connection to use.


For those looking to buy Rock Band 4

• The band in a box package goes for ~$170

• The game with one guitar is $70

• Your old instruments WILL work on Rock Band 4... But not all of them. Check this out to see if your old instruments still are compatible. I personally recommend getting old GH guitars.

• If you're on Xbox One and you're using legacy instruments, you need a legacy adapter which can be bought with the game for $50 at GameStop, or the adapter can be bought separately for $15.

• Online play is currently unavailable. Will become available during the holiday season, but it comes as part of a package that must be bought. I'm not quite sure on the price yet. Hoping we'll learn more at E3.

• RB4 supports previous DLC purchases, as long as you stay on the same family of consoles (360->XOne or PS3->PS4).

• Delisted DLC songs that you have bought are currently unavailable until all export packs are done

• Exports from previous games are available, but only if you downloaded them onto RB3 when the offers were still valid. For a list of what offers are still valid and which export packs are available, check here.

If any of you want to play, my GT is Wzia. I play on both 360 & XOne and I play GH:WoR, RB3, GH:Live, RB4, and both DJ Hero's as well.
