But im really blocked with JS's that has jumps every 8th note. i find them quite anyoing, can't focus on the rhythm. I can even handle handstreams better i think which is funny
For getting up to 500 combo every single time I feel pretty confident in 210-220bpm alternating 8th JS, maxing probably just over 22NPS. For reference I crush Etude for the Sinners JS, which is 200bpm, 20NPS.
Around 230-240bpm I can get 500 combos, sometimes even whole FC files with alternating 8th JS at that speed, but not reliably.
I'm definitely worse at stream than JS. I don't even think I can reliably always do 300bpm, so I'd put my max around 21NPS for streams, even lower if there are anchor/runningman/trill stuff to trip me up.
I have awful stamina. I'm glad you specified 500 combo because if you said 5000 my answer would be like, Quasar speed.
i would also like to take this opportunity to shout out deadlyx39
on the one hand i feel as though your absence from these forums is a shelled victory for all ffr forumites however after careful examination of my internal feeling apparatus i have come to the conclusion that i do in fact miss your posts
8nps=60bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 60bpm(90bpm 16ths)
14nps=120bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 120bpm(180bpm 16ths)
20nps=180bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 180bpm(270bpm 16ths)
26nps=240bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 240bpm(360bpm 16ths)
29nps=270bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 270bpm(405bpm 16ths)
What patterns are you using for these calculations? The patterns you describe don't seem to fit with the nps you list.
admittedly i'm off by 1nps with the 24ths calculations but it's less confusing to group them together instead of saying a 24th stream with exactly 1 jump every second (which would result in the extra 1nps needed)
i don't understand your pictures entirely because you did not explain exactly how long each segment was at each bpm
... classic fencepost error. You're counting the notes at the beginning of the next second. So you end up slightly wrong. Just run your method again for a 2 second section of the same pattern, and you'll see a different nps, because your method is wrong.
Let's say you're counting the notes in beat N. So you look at "Current Beat" for each note. If it's greater than or equal to N and less than N+1, it's inside beat N. If the current beat for a note is equal to N+1, it's in beat N+1, not beat N. Your method counts the notes that are at beat N+1, so it comes up wrong.
Oh, and my pictures are simple. Each one shows one measure (4 beats) filled in with the pattern. Then you have the "at N bpm this is N/15 nps" part. That means that if you see that pattern at 60 bpm, you take 60 and divide by 15 to calculate the nps.
lmfao thanks for pointing that out haha
readjusted to subtract whatever arrows were at N+1 this should be more accurate
6nps=60bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 60bpm(90bpm 16ths)
12nps=120bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 120bpm(180bpm 16ths)
18nps=180bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 180bpm(270bpm 16ths)
24nps=240bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 240bpm(360bpm 16ths)
27nps=270bpm jumpstream with a jump on every 8th note, or 24ths at 270bpm(405bpm 16ths)
Index, I max out at around 310-315 BPM for comboing.
315 bpm stream? No chance I could manage that for more than a measure. I max out at 290 for consistent stream and even then I'd probably give out after 10-15 seconds.
Fastest I can FC for long periods is about 12 (Emerald Sword). 14 is about the maximum I can hit for a while and still expect a decent score (Strangeprogram comes to mind). I can do 16 only in short bursts, and anything above that is generally lolnope
