Contrary to popular belief, it's actually shitty older monitors that are better for MAing...or at least that's the theory (I use 75 fps myself).

These are all top-shelf MA scores btw, that girlboy MA is pretty damn nuts (you think you can trill the ending bursts and get the AAA? they're mostly on the left hand...)

It honestly depends on your eyes. 120hz is fine, but realize the arrows are super smooth to the point it feels like it's a flat image on the screen. It's pretty cool, but on FFR, 120hz bites you in the ass (at least it did for me because it made arrows seem like they were traveling faster than they actually are)
75hz is pretty good (which is what I am using now). Feels solid, and it's not jumpy at all.

I notice there is a huge difference in my MA between all these refresh rates, but I think 75hz is probably the safest way to go if you're not looking to spend a crazy amount of money.

I also found a 144hz monitor for about 160 bucks. That tells me that here is a huge deflation in LCD monitors (in regard to refresh rates). 2 years ago, I spend nearly 450 bucks for my 120hz monitor. It's probably worth less than 200 now. But I don't really care because I sold my powerful rig awhile back.

          Thanks, Dyanmo!

And yeah, I'm pretty content with a 60hz monitor (although, I think it goes higher for this, this monitor's pretty weird so I'm not sure.) I'll look into a 75hz monitor. Wouldn't hurt to get another one anyways, haha.

Also, I take that back. 120hz monitors and 144hz monitors are still pricey. I think the cheapest I found so far was 300 bucks or so. Some 120hz monitors also don't reduce motion blur, so you need to pay attention to the specs before making a purchase like that.

You can also overclock your monitor. It's pretty easy to do, but I don't really see the point honestly. I was tweaking around with some software that I found, and I managed to get the monitor to show 100hz. I don't think it will make much a difference honestly.
