Yes alot of people drink that. I tried beer im only 13 but its nasty, taste like strong water. I had a margerita there ok lol.

Try coolers... you can't actually taste the alcohol in those... tastes like a normal carbonated beverage would...
but they're like 5% alcohol and like 100% sugar =\

Which is probably why they're considered girl's drinks =P
