At a price of 10,000 credits which will be added to the credit pool (and you can only do this TWICE) you can change another person's song (in your division), meaning they'll have to play another song that round. Guidelines for this would be that the song has to be the same level as the one originally chosen and it would have to be approved by myself. Think of this as Cutthroat Kitchen

While this is a neat idea it's really kinda hard to work since scores wouldn't be the same. Some songs are going to net you more points than others. This might be something that could work in an elimination style tournament.

It would have to be a change for the whole division if it's going to work I think. Which could get really messy if a bunch of people try to do it.

You could just change it to a democracy sort of thing. If more than x% of players pay the price, than the round song will change. Then everyone stays on the same score wave length and makes things easier. Only the people that want it to change would have to pay so that others wouldn't be forced to send over X amount of credits.

Like, 50% or 2/3rds vote/pay, then the round song for that division changes.

Also @Kayla This is how the scoring was until this new idea came up :P

For scoring, you could just subtract the amount of points from AAA from the new song to the old song
Like for example, let's say you got 6g on the new song, and 6g=-150 from AAA. If the score you would get from AAA'ing the original song is 83000, you would get 82850 for the round.

If you just submit a replay, please tell me your quit key, it makes it easier to see the Raw Score

Also comments on this. For Velocity engine replays you probably already know you can just view with your settings then use your own quit key. For R^3 I discovered a seemingly undocumented feature of replays. You can click the song progress bar like a video progress bar and go back and forth or straight to the end. Tested to make sure replays where the player did not show the progress bar still work. The replay engine adds a progress bar in that case.

Would this potentially result in lots of credits being transferred back and forth each round if the majority threshold was not reached? Or would the credits just be forfeit? Seems like it would either make a lot of work and/or discourage people from participating.

ehh idk about that whole scoring idea because what if someone makes the person play like a 5 minute song or something.

Seems a bit harsh :/

I mean I think the idea is cool but maybe needs to be altered slightly. Basically now what's coming into my mind is attacks from games like guitar hero. What if a player could challenge another for x amount of credits to a song of their choosing the person who loses gets x amount score penalty.

Maybe something like that would work

On the other hand, i would love to host one myself, but I'm trying to really work out an interesting one, so if anything that might happen sometime after the Official.

I see you're accounting for krunky's skill drop so does that mean you'd do the same for me? I definitely can't play a D5 level anymore, probably would still die in D4, but prob too much for D3 XD
