Not to sound rude but don't we have enough different kind of rhythm games? What ideas do you have in mind anyways?

fun fact: WinDEU is currently in the process of building a touhou-shooter that allows customization of bullet patterns sequenced to music, quantized by BPM and rhythmic notation (i.e. more freedom than Sounddodger):

it's still in development, but it's pretty cool regardless

You know, I sometimes think to myself a shmup mixed with rhythm mechanics would probably be a fun concept.

Like levels morphing and changing as the song goes. Or the example that video shows of making bullets go in tune with the music.

I feel like this particular area hasn't been explored fully to be honest. The only things I've seen made with a concept similar to this is using pure RNG to the waveform and that gets dull pretty quickly.

Essentially I want something that's more "hand made" I guess. I think schmup's with level designs catered to the music and not randomly produced due to the waveforms or however else would be so much more appealing and interesting.

I'm sure you've played or at least heard of these. 3/4 of these have api cracks that are relatively easy to find.
