Oh, and I played the oni stepchart for Butterfly at the arcade. I sucked at it (I got a B >.<), but it was fun nonetheless. I also just remembered hearing Butterfly Upswing Mix at an anime convention. Anyone here like the remix of Butterfly? It's alright to me (though not as good as the original).

In this thread, the only reason I see for people hating Butterfly is that the noobs play it a lot. So, why did Butterfly become a DDR punching bag? There are other songs that noobs whore, as well.

Butterfly has retarded lyrics, has an annoying backround, and annoying steps. So, I would think that this would make the song annoying and retarded. I don't whore any particular song, and I don't think anyone should. This song is whored to the limit, especially by 10 year old girls who play the song 3 times in a row... >_<

I guess I don't share the same problem as you, then. However, I doubt that the event of 10 year old girls playing Butterfly at least 2 times consecutively happens anymore. Even when I went to Disney World, at the DDR 1st Mix machine I've heard people play Boom Boom Dollar on Basic much more than Butterfly.
Of course, looking at previous posts I suppose if I heard people whore Butterfly constantly, I'd probably also be sick of it, but around where I play people don't whore Butterfly.

I'm not particularly fond of Butterfly since it's rather boring but considering it was the first song I ever played on DDR and it was the first heavy song I could pass, it has somewhat sentimental meaning to me. But mehh, there are definitely many better songs than Butterfly. =)
