Gah, I redid Endless Dream and DOSSOLOGY quite a bit now, files are pretty outdated.

I got endless dream off here and dossology off stian. if you change your files, you should probably post updates, rofl.

On another note Tenkuu no Yoake is off by more than a beat (0.417 or so), rofl.

probably an error on zyph's end since I didn't even touch the file from when I downloaded it, lol.

might have to release a minor patch with this fixed and maybe your updated charts then.

I was gonna post something and then I forgot but then I remembered in class.

These packs are really cool and definitely a great idea.

I think it would be a good idea if, say a week before releasing the pack, you PM or somehow (attempt to) contact all the stepartists whose files you plan on using letting them know and giving them the option to send you a new version or to opt out. I imagine almost nobody would want to opt out; in fact, most people probably wouldn't respond in any way or might be inactive for a few days, but some people may have made changes to their charts after having given them to other people or posting them in the simfile forum and having received feedback from others. I also think it's just a good idea to let people know you want to use their work in a project beforehand.

Personally, after releasing Run Run Run, and having had a few people play it and give positive reviews, I was quite happy. But I was also given some pointers and made improvements and changes in plans to release it more broadly to the public in a pack. Now that this is released, I'll just include the old chart and have the new one as a harder difficulty, so no big deal. But it can be a bit of an annoyance/inconvenience in the following situation:

Stepper posts single release, possibly looking for feedback
File is played/looked at and generally praised but also given constructive criticism
Stepper notes criticism and makes improvements to chart, planning on releasing improved version in pack

I definitely shared these very thoughts while compiling the first and second packs, but never bothered to take the initiative to contact everyone, since no one really had a problem with me releasing their files in the past volumes. After releasing the first volume, a lot of peeps took the initiative to send me random files to use for the sequels, which did save me some time and trouble, haha.

If I'm going to keep compiling these packs in the long run, I'm definitely going to start giving peeps a shoutout for file permission(s) and for any updates. I think the only exception to this would be ancient files literally no one would have from the oldies—even the dudes that made the files probably wouldn't even have them anymore, rofl.
