Is this game anything like the xbox and ds iterations of the series? I remember those being a little to grind-y for me.

Never played either, but it is grindy as hell, kinda. 62 hours of playing one character and I'm only pushing level 28. (I've also idled and just chatted with the Team a bit, but at least 55 hours were in quests.)
