Also, I find there's a lot of repeating questions here... like "Do you think highly of yourself?" then "Do you think low of yourself?" sorta deal. But ohwell, I guess there's different kinds of sentiments to extract from each (one is "less modest" and the other is "more depressed" or something). The questions pertaining to social anxiety are way too repetitive though.

It's a psychometric fail-safe used for a couple of reasons.

This test is used commercially for a number of reasons and many companies will run analyses on the results to see if you're lying and the redundancy makes it harder to lie unless you've practiced doing so.

It also makes the results more accurate by averaging your responses across many samples, since people often change the way they feel about things to a degree even during a test, or some people might think questions phrased in certain ways is ambiguous etc.

To be fair it's percentile based and 50 just means you're average.

i find the gregariousness score was hugely tilted by all the fucking crowds questions too

like i'd give myself a 30 in gregariousness not a 77 but i'm comfortable in crowds so apparently that makes me hate being alone
