Fuck the Gen 4 contests, the OGs from gen 3 were best.

You don't even have to do the musicals, but the movie making (which is basically a mission mode) is required to get to the third gym. As for Pokemon XY (no topic derailing!), the vitals for Xerneas and Yveltal have been released. The deer is 3.0 m and 215 kg, while the roc is 5.8 m and 203 kg.

CoroCoro also leaked the official art for what will likely be the box legends and said that there would be "over 700" in all when this came out, so we're probably looking at 50-150 new mons mixed in with old favorites. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The last Pokémon game I played was I guess 2nd gen with Gold/Silver versions, so I don't have much of a say in this, but I'll share my opinions. Firstly, I stopped playing because I didn't feel like keeping up with the massive additions of Pokémon added per version release.

Let's do the math:

RBY: 151
GSC: +100 (251)
RSE: +135 (386) (okay, fair point, RS sucked but emerald had decent postgame, including a speedrun dungeon)
DPP: +107 (493)
BW: +156 (649)

Sounds more like you cba to pony up for the newest handheld.

I'm surprised they haven't just resorted to expansion packs for pokemon, since new games just seem to be in a new place with different pokemon to catch with 150-ish new ones. Doesn't help that most of the new things introduced (such as contests and musicals) usually get bashed for being boring or convoluted. Only doubles was accepted well from what I remember (no one bothers with rotation and triples lol).

It's really just a problem with people wanting either no changes whatsoever or something entirely different with everyone else being shafted for dumb reasons.

Unfortunately this is apparently fake. I don't know who confirmed it so, but that seems to be the general consensus on this image so far.

All the released mega evolutions are in this image, so I'm not too sure myself.
