- song is good but feels pretty heavy since it's got a lot of jumpstreamy stuff
- an easier chart is desperately needed, idk how to handle this kind of song though
let me know if you do decide to make an easier chart, look through like.. community keyboard megapack 1, 2 and stuff like that .. old (<2009) easy charts

- very good, but tone down the holds
holds are still too much, ruins the gameplay for this kind of song (i get what you're doing with the vocals but they are obnoxiously hard to hit and makes the song less fun)

Vertex Delta: Was sorta expecting this given the way I stepped it (melody on jumps) but yeah I get what you mean. I originally had 3 charts, with the current heavy chart being the hardest, but I scrapped the other 2. They basically were the same thing, but the layering on the jumps was watered down. I could make another chart with this type of layering.

TWBTD: About holds, do you mean the layering, or the lengths? I admit, before the 2nd verse the hold usage does get a bit hectic (my own messed up version of climax theory). On vocals, I noticed this too when I was playtesting. It feels weird to hit the notes when they're exact, but it does actually play better when they're quantized and have a uniform rhythm.

(v1) Eclipse (rCaliberGX) - rejected

- go easy on the holds man, esp the beginning - they fade out a lot earlier than you think
- wow this is a lot harder than it looks, the problem with this song is that it begins and ends with really slow stuff but gets very fast in the middle.. i dont think this song can work out with our pack since it drags on during the start and end..

I guess they're just problems with song choice. The full version is about a minute longer, but most of it is the beginning and end repeated twice, so I tried to cut it out. I tried cutting more of it, but it brings it down to about 1:50-ish and most of the song is the slow beginning anyway, and the faster portion isn't long enough to be by itself.

if you can halve the length of all holds in this will be the day then that would make it play better

can still feel the hold+vocals without ruining gameplay

and vertex delta an easier chart with bare bones structure (kind of like old files from like 2004-2006) would be great

eclipse yeah, song choice issue, mid part can't stand alone

across the nightmare (ilikexd) - accept (make slight fix)
- you seem to step some barely-audible sounds and choose to ignore certain sounds (ex. 8s ~ 10s barely audible stuffs) (ex. 14s ~ 15.7s you ignore the jack ish sounds )
if you want ignore the jack-sounding stuff that's fine cause it might be too hard at 150bpm but the barely audible sounds at like 8s are iffy
- otherwise chart is pretty consistent, doesn't need an easier chart imo
good song choice too

faint (ilikexd) - yes
- jesus christ linkin park, never thought anybody would tackle linkin park for sm lol
- dude wtf this file is fuckin TIGHT, easily your best work i've ever seen to date

petite feet (ilikexd) - accept w/ tiny fixesz
- you seem to make some parts normal (stepping all the right sounds) but then you go way too easy on parts like 18s~21s
i suggest making those empty parts a tiny bit harder (there are cool instruments that you don't step in favor of straight vocals)

then it should be good (i'm saying this because parts like 53s ~ 59s warrant a general difficulty upspike in comparison to parts like say, 18s~21s - and those parts are pretty upbeat too )

yea kinda went for it with the quiet background guitar cause having the same shit repeat 4 times would be tragic

are you referring to the bass guitar? cause yea i definitely hear it, just ignored it, but ill add a few 16ths to them, although as gallops, not minijacks at this bpm,

not a huge change but slightly better i guess, the other "cool instruments" are a constant 8th bass drum which would be pretty boring to follow the whole time IMO, and occasional guitar note which already coincides with the vocals

not a huge change but slightly better i guess, the other "cool instruments" are a constant 8th bass drum which would be pretty boring to follow the whole time IMO, and occasional guitar note which already coincides with the vocals

What parts do you feel the holds are overdone in TWBTD? tbh after looking through it several times, there's like 2 spots in the whole song where there are 16th with 1 or more holds. I shortened the hands with holds in the build up before the vocal chopping portion, but even then there are no notes with the holds.

Almost all the holds are at specific lengths to the synths that they go to, and for the most part nothing really dense happens during the hold.

edit: also the banner reads "Stepmania Stepping Stones". change banner text?
